Help with The Case of the Unsure Heart
« on: June 07, 2010, 10:30:37 AM »
I have a quick question about the above-mentioned case. For the second step, it says to "Ask About Relationship" to 2 family members. Is there a quick and easy way to find these family members? It doesn't show them on the map, and I can't find the correct household anywhere. What am I supposed to do exactly?

Yea, 94 people have looked at this thread, yet no one has answered it yet. I'm guessing that means no one has an answer?

Obviously. Why would we not share with you something you want to know?

Thanks Metro. I was going to try to come up with some sarcastic remark to answer that, but nothing came to me.

What do you mean by the case of the unsure heart? Is it an oppurtunity?

It's one of the jobs for Private Investigators.

Ohhh you're so cynical.   ;)

It's going to be that person's family.  Not the love interest's family like I'd thought originally.  What I did was look at the person's house at night to see who was there, then found them throughout the day, because I didn't know offhand who was in that person's family.  But a quick and easy way, no, sorry.  You'll know it's the right person when you click on them and the special interaction is there.

But if the person lives alone, I don't know for sure what you can do.  I guess go find people with the same last name.  Do some real sleuthing!

Well I knew I had to find people in the family of the guy who hired me, but when I clicked on each house in the town, there was no household with his last name. I have no idea who the love interest is, so that's automatically out of the picture. I just find it weird that the game doesn't give the location of the people I need to talk to like it does for every other opportunity or job I've received.

Oh okay guess you're a better reader than I (except that the love interest's name is given earlier!! I swear..).  I suppose if you can't find the people you are supposed to ask, you could just cancel the job and get another one.  Or you could give us the person's name and maybe someone here knows who his family is.  But I agree, it is weird that EA didn't make this one as mind-numbingly easy as the other cases.

Haha, I've never known the Sims to be a puzzle. And you're probably right, I think it does give the lover's name earlier, but at the stage I'm at right now, it doesn't.

Is it possible that the client is from one of the homeless families?

I won't have Ambitions until tomorrow, but I know both Sunset Valley and Riverview have homeless families (the sims in them may have jobs, they can be interacted with at community lots or over the phone, but they don't actually have a house), so I'm assuming there are also some homeless families in Twinbrook.

I don't think so; I've never known a "homeless" sim to give an opportunity, but maybe it's a bug or something. Since there hasn't been a patch for Ambitions yet, I'm sure there are several imperfections about the game.

Maybe it's one of those multi-family households. Twinbrook has "Goode and Bad" and "Simolean Savers" that I'm sure of.

I agree with Pam, sometimes people live with them that do not share their last name, what I would suggest doing, is calling him over or inviting him out, and when he leaves, follow his car on your screen and you'll find him. :)

Wow I can't believe I never thought of that. Heh, I'll try that later today, as I haven't played that file since I started yet another legacy file. I think my count is now up to 4 legacies, and the furthest I've gotten on one is the child of the 3rd generation.
