When ever my sims start playing computer games either on a laptop or the desktop computer it's so annoyingly loud and I can't escape the sound no matter how far away I move the camera. It's like the "wire whole house with speakers" upgrade on stereos there's no where on the lot the sound doesn't reach at full volume. It's so annoying.

Yes at simsasylum.com. TwoFoot Mama has a mod to stop that nonsense. You have to register to use anything on the site.

Thanks. It's been that way forever. I can't believe EA never fixed it.

That reminds me of another sound-related problem I’ve been encountering lately.

Every time I start a new file after launching the game, the second I move in a sim I hear this clicking noise. And it LOOPS. Drove me bonkers. I just pull the plug and start a new file where it no longer happens, but it’s still annoying!
Oh, and sometimes the Buy mode music continues playing after going back to Live mode, but that’s no problem. And then the loading music cuts out early. Whatever.

“You ought to upgrade to Windows 7!”, they said. “It’ll help your games run so much better!”, they said. If I see them again, then they had better know how to stabilize an on-the-fritz copy of The Sims 3 that was working just fine on Windows XP.
