Traits

I think I found something interesting with traits - they work both ways. If you talk about the same thing over and over with another sim who is charismatic, they don't get bored. If you do stuff like shower/sleep/make food etc at a sim's house who has the innappropriate trait, they don't mind! At least, I think that is how it works. I could do anything in the Roomies household (Cycl0n3 has the inappropriate trait) whereas at the Alto's house I couldn't.

Inappropriate sims still get angry when you do inappropriate things at their house, at least in my game. Hypocrites, I tell ya.

Hmm... I wonder what it is then? I have been able to do as I please now in the Wainwright house too. My sim bathes and sleeps and they don't bat and eyelid. Perhaps the innappropriate behaviour has been tuned in a patch since the start of the game?

There is a lifetime reward of 5000 points that you can buy. With it your sim can do as he please.
Perhaps you buy it for your sim. I always do, but now I can't member what it is called lol.

Nope - I had only just started with this sim, and 'Inappropriate, but in a good way' is not one that I normally buy. The charismatic one I'm quite sure about - I had a sim who was not charismatic enthusing with Booker Singleton about Politics until they were best friends - and he didn't get bored. Booker Singleton, however, IS charismatic.

I'm going in game in a while, I will send my sim to a neighbour and see what happens.

Edit: I've send my sim after give her the charismatic trait and they warn her to behave.
Second I send her to the Lee household, Mitch is inappropriate, after two warnings he kick her out lol.

I'm sorry if I'm being captain obvious here, but if your sim is not a certain trait, eg. artistic, and the other sims is artistic, then the non-artistic talking about art to the artistic sim will take a long time to get tiresome for them and it'll boost your relationship even if you're enemies. Same for bookworm with books, family oriented and talking about family, workaholic and talking about work etc. Also, if you complain about, eg. art to an artistic sim, it'll lower your relationship.
Facts are stubborn things.

Don't worry captain obvious - I'm fully aware of that. I've been writing an article on making fast friends by exploiting the charisma trait - which works pretty much like the 'never dull' LTR. If neither sim has the charisma trait, it only takes a few of the same interaction before the other sim starts to think you're being boring/awkward - so you have to mix them up a bit.

Hmm - during the handiness challenge, I gave my sim the inappropriate trait because I figured it would help her randomly upgrade objects in other people's households without them getting annoyed (though the quick sponge baths were a nice plus) and it seemed to have worked. Some of those times could be attributed to post-fire gratefulness on the part of the households in question, but at least one of them was just a regular visit (then again, it was Billy Caspian's house, and he's totally inappropriate). I think the only time anyone kicked her out was one of the times she went traveling.

At the same time, my immortal dynasty founder ended up boring a charismatic maid at one point - however, I'm not sure if that was from the couple of "get to know" interactions, or maybe she spoke madness more often than I thought since I did ignore her briefly.  ::)

Anyway, I agree there's something to this theory.
