The Loving Legacy
« Reply #90 on: August 28, 2012, 08:20:22 PM »
Well, after spending most of the day with EA Help, on the Sims 3 Forum and on Carl and Pam's Forum, I figured out that I have to do a complete MANUAL uninstall. Thanks to Pam, I have instructions for everything except Diesel and Sweet Treats. Looking for them now. It will be a while...sigh

Just got caught up with the Lovings. Crossing my fingers everything goes well with getting the game fixed. Glad you are feeling better.

Marriage, Birth and Death
« Reply #94 on: August 29, 2012, 03:20:22 PM »
Thanks so much for your support! I have decided to post the story up to the point where it locked up. I'm keeping everything crossed: fingers, toes, eyes...LOL that I can continue with it.

What a busy couple of days we have had! Minna had her Young Adult birthday. Where did that baby girl go?

Then, she invited Stewart over to propose to him and ask him to move in.

The next day, they were married. Such a beautiful wedding!

And, of course, the honeymoon.

Minna Loving: brave, family-oriented, handy, genius, athletic. BECOME AN ASTRONAUT

Stewart (Vasquez-Diwan) Loving: couch potato, brave, over-emotional, bookworm, neat.  SWIMMING IN CASH

Stewart got a job in Business and Minna got a job in the Military.

Minna is pregnant. And, she's wearing that ugly outfit that cuts her in half as her tummy grows. Ugh!

Generation 6 has arrived. Please welcome Rosaleen Loving. (Rosaleen means "love" in Irish/Gaelic) She rolled the Lifetime Wish of the Perfect Garden.

I just found out that Stewart is Chance's nephew...by marriage. I'm surprised that the game allowed Minna and Stewart to marry.

Pixel had her Adult kitty birthday. Oh, yeah! I forgot to tell you that Minna wished for another kitty. And, she doesn't even have the love cats trait. So, there are three cats in the family now.

Chance (Loera-King) Loving left us at age 93 to join past Loving family members in the Loving Family Graveyard.

That's all for this time. I will continue working on getting my game going again. Thanks for reading.

Gorgeous wedding! The girl in bikini and boots is forgiven her dress code for applauding enthusiastically.
I like the groom's upturned mouth corners in his formal CAS picture. He looks like a real sweetheart.
Also, Rosaleen... such a charming name.
Chance's passing is like a cloud obscuring the sun, but he seemed agreeable to his faith.
What a wonderful update!

Thank you, Sadie and SimBlip! SimBlip, that woman is Lizette Loving. She is the grandaughter of Byron (Valentine's brother). You can probably tell she has the insane trait ;)

Thank you, Artsygirl. The wedding arch is from Sunlit Tides and I just couldn't resist it :)

Beautiful wedding Jude, as far as the insane trait goes, at least she has a reason. I have people show up to my parties and wedding missing shirts, pants or BOTH. This include ladies and men. :o

Great updates Jude! Minna is very beautiful and so is Kalei! I love the wedding (especially the arch, I can't wait to use mine). Welcome baby Rosaleen :)

BTW, I rarely play the controllable pets, but Pixel is cute!

This story is on hold until I can go buy a flash drive to move the game file to my old computer. Maybe it will work good enough to let me finish the game. I have uninstalled  three times, including a manual uninstall. None of the reinstalls are working. This last one looked fine but when I added my game file it's unplayable because..."it's missing an expansion pack." which it's not. I could just cry I'm so frustrated. So, it will be another few days until I can get to town and buy a flash drive. Thanks for your patience.

Instead of buying a simple flash drive, you may as well look into acquiring an external memory. It's like an extra hard disk, and honestly, not that more expensive.
I can only imagine, how much grief the inability to play your Simmies gives you. Don't let it get you down. We're all thinking of you and keeping our fingers crossed.  :)

I second the idea of an external memmory. I keep all my simgame saves backed up there (it saves up a lot of space in my game folder and on my hard drive). Also, it's great for transfereing files between computers which I do when I travel.
