Please forgive the delay in posting to this story. I was in the hospital and am now on bed rest because of my heart condition. It will be a few more days. I miss my Simmies! :(

The idea behind your 'Loving' legacy is brilliant, and not only from its naming point of view: the love you bestow upon your Sims is tangible! This is another wonderful story.
And again, I like your writing style: refreshingly simple, up-to-the-point and very personal - all at the same time.
Please, rest well. Your health is more important than anything. :)

PS. When I cannot play the Sims, or when I cannot fall asleep, I work out Sim scenarios in my head. It helps.

Endings and Beginnings

Thank you all...so very much!

My father, Valentine Loving, just left with Grim at age 94. He contributed so much to our family Legacy. I, as well as the rest of the family, will miss him very much.

Even though he's now an elder, Jakes plays in his Kitty Condo quite often.

Please let me introduce my new granddaughter, Minna Loving, our Generation 5 nooboo. (Minna means "love" in German.) She rolled a wish to be an Astronaut.

Her daddy just can't get enough of his nooboo.

Minna is having her first birthday. Isn't she just the cutest toddler ever? Look at those pretty blue eyes.

Minna was very fast at learning all of her toddler skills.

Death came for my mother, Carisa Loving this morning. She was 102. There are now four tombstones in the family graveyard.

Aww...and now, we've lost Jake, Aimee's kitty. Goodbye, sweet Jake.

Minna had her child birthday. She grew up so quickly!

We found out that Valentine's brother, Byron, had passed away so we brought him home to the Loving Family Graveyard.

Chance and I have both become elders.

It's time for Kalei to do her part and to take over the family Legacy. So, we had a talk and I explained what she must do. She agreed that the Loving Legacy must go on.

Oh-oh, Grim has been very busy. It's so fitting that Byron was laid to rest in the family graveyard.
Minna is a lovely name! She is a pretty, serious looking girl.
I liked Querida's narrative. I'm sure Kalei will do a good job too. :)

I'm so sorry. I hope that you get better and take care of yourself. Get plenty of rest and think peaceful thoughts. Hopefully by now you're feeling somewhat better :)

Oh, Jake was so cute jumping up to Grim. I've honestly never played my animals as long as that. Would be kind of sad. And Minna's a sweet baby, very adorable. Great update and continue to take care of yourself.

Minna Growing Up
« Reply #83 on: August 26, 2012, 08:48:57 AM »
Thank you for your comments and for reading.

I'm Kalei Loving. The "Guardian" has decided that she will take over the telling the story of our legacy. She mumbled something about forgetting who was supposed to be telling the story.

Querida decided that she wanted to see some green in the backyard so she planted some grass. And, added a putting green to give the guys some fun.

Here is an overview of the completed landscaping.

Minna's childhood years just whizzed by and she is already a teen. Where does the time go? It just seems like yesterday that she was toddling around.

She didn't waste any time asking Stewart Vasquez-Diwan to come over and to ask him to be her boyfriend. He, of course, accepted.

Tomas and Kalei have both had their adult birthdays. Tomas is having a mid-life crisis. I think he looks just as good as he ever did...and that's pretty darn good.

This fire was at Marlana Loving's house. Byron's granddaughter, Keely, got pretty well singed.

At least nobody died. It's the first time the camera has panned away from the family to go to another non-played family. Okay, now this is just weird. Chance and Querida somehow got transported to the Loving house that was on fire. I had to send them home. I know they were in bed sleeping when the fire started.

Kalei went to France for a job opportunity. She had to learn the crepes recipe. I got her all the way to France to buy the recipe but she doesn't have a high enough cooking skill to learn it. Well, at least she learned a few of other recipes so it wasn't a total waste. I, as the guardian, decided to not to let her stay overnight because my computer doesn't handle traveling well.

Grandpa Chance taught Minna how to drive. It didn't take her long at all. She is a genius after all.

Minna adopted a couple of cats.  Their names are Snow (female) and Coal (male). Every time I think that having pets is too much trouble, I cave in. They're just so darn cute!

Minna's boyfriend, Stewart, comes over quite often. He and Chance are becoming good friends.

He is also making friends with Coal.

There's been quite a bit of activity at the graveyard. (Too bad they can't do anything but drive off somewhere in their cars.) This is Great Grandma Aimee going...somewhere.

Until next time...

Happy birthday Minna!! She is a very pretty teen, and the kittties are so cute! I do the same thing,  I say no pets, then I see a really cute pet that I have to have and now there's another pet!

Happy birthday, Mina! Congratulations on finding such a nice and handsome boyfriend too.
How interesting that the camera alerted you to fire in Marlana's house. The family ties are obviously stronger than one would think.

Thanks ever so much, you guys! It will probably be a few days until the next update because my game locked up and I have to do a complete reinstall. I hate it when that happens...LOL

My game is frozen. I have not been able to fix it even with a complete reinstall of my game. I have not been able to reinstall my store items, even with Flynn's help. So I will go back to my old file. Generation 6 has just been born. So, I am going to move my family to Sunlit Tides to see if I can play them there. Keep your fingers crossed!

Edit: That didn't work. I'm going back to the new file to see if I can quickly build a house for them to live in. I'll have to use Sunset Valley, Twinbrook or Bridgeport and use no store items or anything. If this doesn't work, my files are bugged and this will be a fail...sob.
