Ghosts do seem to act differently since the last patch. It may work in your favour, Jude, if you really want to hang on to them.
I kept the bones of family members in a treasure chest, and never dealt with ghosts at all. But I understand some Watchers like to see them emerge from the Netherworld now and again.
I hope you can solve the problems with a neighbourhood move. I don't think it would be considered a fail at all. :)

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to discontinue this legacy. I thought it was the game file that was glitched, but it must be the family. You all know how stubborn I am about finishing my games so it really hurts my feelings to have to let them go. Thank you all for reading.

Please move to graveyard.

This story has been moved to the graveyard. Judewright can revive it at any time by contacting a moderator.

I'm truly sorry about this legacy, judewright  :(. The Loving family was simply beautiful. They will be missed.

EDIT: And it's back! Hooray!  ;D

Okay, let's try this again. I found out that if I use an older saved family WITH the house, it seems to be working. The landscaping doesn't really match the terrain of any other town but I guess it will have to do. We will see what happens. I told you I was stubborn! If this works, I'll have two games going on the forum. I must have the insane trait!

I've moved the Loving family to my least glitchy town, Sunset Valley. The family graveyard is a long way from the house but that might change.

Let's see how far we can go, shall we?

Okay, a reminder of the family.

As we begin, Querida Loving is 93. She's probably not going to be with the family long, unfortunately.

Kalei is ten days to elder. She's really going to have to work hard to reach her Lifetime Wish of Celebrated Five Star Chef. She's at level 7 in her career and level 8 of cooking skill. She will have to build relationships with her boss and co-workers.

Kalei's husband, Tomas, is at level 8 of his career. He is also ten days to elder but he should be fine to reach his LTW.

Minna Loving is 14 days to adult. She has plenty of time to become an astronaut.

Her husband, Stewart, also 14 days to adult, is a stay at home dad and wants to be swimming in cash. That shouldn't be a problem either.

Baby Rosaleen will become a toddler in one day.

Plus, we have the three cats

So, keep your fingers crossed!

The first occasion of note is Rosaleen's toddler birthday. She is a little cutie, isn't she? Black hair and dark green/hazel colored eyes. I simply had to get rid of that bald head!

Daddy teaches her to walk.

She is definitely great grandma's little girl.

Querida teaches Rosaleen how to talk.

This is Marty Keaton. He's enjoying the family hot tub. It's so irritating that sims can get into the yard even with a security gate. I've just replaced them with new gates so maybe that will help.

Everyone stands in line to take care of little Rosaleen's needs. She doesn't want for anything but still seems to cry a lot. She cries more than any Loving toddler that I've had.

Coal and Pixel are going to have kittens! Why am I making more work for myself? Because I have never tried for kittens or puppies before.

Querida left us at age 97. Grim decided to stay and chat with Kalei and Tomas. There are now seven tombstones in the family graveyard. I wonder if the Lucky Palms ghosts think they are lost?

Zelda Mae giving flowers to Minna? I don't think so! And, why do non-family sims keep walking in through the security gates?

I'm going to move the family tombstones across the street to Summerhill Springs Park. I like to keep an eye on them.

Pixel had her kitten. Yes, just one, and he looks just like his mother. Kalei named him Carwyn.

Tomas has reached his Lifetime Wish of Super Star Athlete.

Donnovan has come out to jump on the trampoline and Chance to slide on the water slide. Right after that, Aimee and Byron joined the party, along with the Zombies. They are having a good time with all the toys.

Rosaleen is a child. Her birthday came quicker than I expected. Thank you EA for the reminder! She's a very pretty girl. Her hairdo seems to be very popular right now. I expect I'll let her keep it.

Thank you all for reading and for your support!

Awesome, the Loving Legacy is back! I'm so thrilled you could rescue them, Jude. I can't wait to read more!

Where does the name Carwyn come from, and does it fit with the Loving's naming theme? My first guess was that it's Irish or Scottish, but I'm not sure.

Thank you! Carwyn is Welsh meaning "love" or "blessed love." So, yes...it follows the theme :)

Brilliant resurrection!  ;D So glad you could keep the Loving family going! Is the security gate issue due to the new patch?

Rosaleen: From Child to Young Adult
« Reply #129 on: September 19, 2012, 09:32:38 AM »
Kalei and Tomas are both elders now. It's sad to see my favorite sims heading toward the end of their life.

Kalei is at level 9 in her career so she should be able to make her Lifetime Wish. She will have to work hard though.

Carwyn just became an adult kitty. Unfortunately, the Guardian wasn't paying close enough attention and missed the transformation picture.

Minna and Stewart are very happy together. They have achieved the eternally faithful moodlet. Oh, and Kalei and Tomas have had that moodlet for quite a long time.

At the same moment that Coal was having his elder birthday, Grim came for Snow.

Well, it had to happen. The terrible teens are here for Rosaleen. She turned out quite nicely, didn't she?

Sam Sekemoto is a few years older but she likes him so she asked him to meet her at the park and put the moves on him. Yes, they are going steady now. I'm quite surprised that he is still single.

It's time for Rosaleen to learn how to drive. Her dad is teaching her.

Kalei made it to 5-Star Chef! Now, she can retire and not have to work so hard. And, the new refrigerator is nice too!

Two more birthdays: Minna and Tomas have both become adults. I can't believe that neither of them got a mid-life crisis.

Everybody at the park/graveyard came out for a ghost party. They looked to be having a great time.

Rosaleen has started her garden and is already at a level 7 in gardening. I had to remove the gates so she could get into the area to garden. She did go to the library to read a book on gardening to gain a couple skill levels.

Since Minna is a level 9 of handiness, she is upgrading the sprinklers to be automatic.

Kalei and Tomas are still very much in love. But, what are they wearing? They are both retired from their jobs. Kalei is wearing her chef's outfit and Tomas is wearing his tux. Must be old age at work!

Minna has achieved her Lifetime Wish to become an Astronaut. She really made it quickly!

After quite a long time (it seemed), it was time for Rosaleen's Young Adult birthday,

Rosaleen had quite a time getting together with Sam Sekemoto to propose and get married. First, he was too busy to come over so she went over to his house. Then, he got hungry and cooked. Then, he had to go to graduation.

Finally, she got him to come over to her house and got the deed done.

Plus the honeymoon. Including baby chimes!

Here are our newlyweds.

Rosaleen Loving: loves the Outdoors, Family-Oriented, Genius, Neat, Green Thumb THE PERFECT GARDEN

Sam Sekemoto Loving: Excitable, Eccentric, Artistic, Snob, Born Salesman. HOME DESIGN HOTSHOT. This will need to change

Rosaleen just became a Master Gardener and she's barely a Young Adult. Good for her!

Generation 7 has arrived...doubled. Well, sort of.

Davonna Loving (Old English - beloved) She will be the heir, being the firstborn. She wants to be a Rock Star.

Daryl Loving (Old English - dearly loved)

This was a complete surprise! Not only twins, but a girl and a boy! Don't ask me why Sam was wearing his graduation outfit. I guess he was in a hurry to get Rosaleen to the hospital.

Wow, I think Rosaleen's the most beautiful Sim I've ever seen born in-game! I can't wait to see how Daryl and Davonna turn out. I only just realised their names match, that's adorable:)

So nice that your couples gain the eternally faithful moodlet!
Well done, Minna, on becoming anastronaut.
Congratulations, Rosaleen and Sam, both on the wedding and your adorable twins!
Rosaleen's eye shape is one of my favourites. :)

There will be a slight delay in posting. There is a lot of smoke and dust in my area because of the nearby fires. These don't help my poor heart much so I'm resting and not playing right now. Be back soon.

Busy Boy Grim
« Reply #133 on: September 26, 2012, 09:07:14 AM »
Birthday time for the twins. First, Davonna. Wow! Look at that red hair! With Daddy Sam's black eyes.

Then, Daryl. More red hair! And, those blue, blue eyes! How did that happen with Sam as the father?

The twins have learned all of their toddler skills.

Oh no! Grim came for Kalei. She was 97.

Grim has been a very busy grim. This time, he came for Coal.

And, then again for Tomas at age 99.

Minna and Stewart had their elder birthdays so they've taken over the elder status of the household.

And, on a lighter note: This is Pepper. Minna asked me for her so I let her have another kitty. I decided to let her and Carwyn try for kittens.

Oops! Does that hurt, Carwyn?

That's all for this time. Hope you all enjoy!
