William pulls a feline from SimEarth, it will act as a Familiar, to catch and amplify the massive magical energies emanating from the fortress. Her name was Bastet, after the Egyptian cat goddess.


Ava still exercises,  despite the magic she's been given. If there's one thing Grandma taught her, it was to catch and keep all the power you can. Grandmother, one of these days, she'd confront her grandmother. Grandmother knows she is here, and that she's with William, but Grandmother seems to have miscalculated. Raven herself hadn't managed to acquire such control over her minions. She'd been betrayed, many times, William had never.

Wiry- Alright Ava, cut it out, I don't think we'll ever know who's stronger, William or Raven. I enjoy the drama though, so keep it up, actually.


 Bastet knows the pecking order. Even SHE is above Esehica.


William praises Bastet every time she harasses the Servants.


Ava and Nightmare are great pals,  they train all the time. Perhaps Nightmare would serve a greater purpose. William notices the friendship between Ava and Nightmare. He's pleased, He and Ava might be wrapped around each other's fingers, but William NEVER loses control. He knows he's playing with fire, so similar to Raven the Evil, but he knows what he's doing.


Ava cares for the kids, it's nice, Wiry doesn't have to constantly have only William reset the swings and do all the other caring.


Whee! Martial arts! Ava thinks that maybe she'll end up using it, maybe soon.


William manipulates the relationships of his minions. Wiry loves that he doesn't have to work as hard anymore.

Having been a fan of the Goth Legacy, I ended up stumbling onto this story due to the Avarice connection.  This is really enjoyable.  The repopulating through cloning was sheer, wicked genius!

Isolation, combined with Psychological vulnerability and a strong personality results in this. Not to mention the magic involved. They're little more than puppets compared to his own Will. A Strong enough personality could just as easily free them, or assume control.
