Hello and welcome to the Dard Dynasty! Dard means "son of Zeus" in Greek, and that's precisely what my founder is. My name is Echo, and feel free to ask any question!

A new chapter will be posted every Tuesday, so check back around then!
I may do mini-updates in between posts, such as updates with the town and such.

Prologue



I thought it was love. He was so handsome, so kind...


I was so wrong. I watched him as he stared at me. My knees involuntarily shook, and my heart voluntarily shattered.


"How can you not remember me, Zeus?" I whispered to the cruel man sitting in front of me. He scoffed, making my lip quiver and heart fracture another hundred times.


"Silly girl," he lamented. The annoyance he felt radiated from his body. I could feel it in my every nerve. "I can be in thousands of places at once. Why would I remember a one night stand with someone as plain as you."


I nearly let out a sob, but then I remembered that I have the upper hand. I have genetic proof. My son was clearly his, and he couldn't deny it. I sighed and smiled at his stupidity.
"This baby serves as your memory. He is yours, Zeus, and he deserves to be raised as a son of Zeus."


"HOW DARE YOU SUGGEST THAT PEASANT CHILD HOLDS EVEN A STRAND OF MY DNA?" he raged.


"I-I'm sorry Zeus, b-but--" I took a deep breath to control my shaking voice.


"He's blue, just like you. He's your son, Zeus."


"Please, give him a chance. Let him live with you on Mount Olympus and be happy for all eternity," I pleaded. "My peasant life is not what the son of a God deserves. Please, Zeus."


"Well, I suppose--"


"Thank you! Thank you! He's yours, and you won't regret this--"


"Hey, he's not getting into Olympus just like that!" he chuckled. I sheepishly grinned at my silly display of affection. "He must face a godly test first; he must prove that he is an actual son of Zeus."


"But how? He's just a baby! What possible test could he face?" I questioned, worry tinging my voice.
"Nothing dramatic. He will be sent to the future the day he turns eighteen. Once there, he must have a daughter, who in turn has a daughter, who in turn has a daughter, et cetra, to form eight generations. He will strive to make all eight generations immortal by preparing the godly food Ambrosia for them. There are other requirements as well, but I will give you a small tablet listing everything. All my children must attempt this before proving they are true Dards."


"So what do you say?" he asked.


I lifted my son and placed him in his capable hands.


"I trust you, Zeus. I will prepare my son for what he is to accomplish and do. He will get to Olympus."
"Not without a little help, he won't." he laughed before whistling.


Two adorable little puppies came running from somewhere in the halls. They couldn't hardly run, but they got to Zeus as fast as they could.
"A dog?" I questioned. What would a dog have to do with helping my son?


A dog. I picked one up and gave it a kiss on the nose.
"They're both precious!"


"That's the little girl, Blue Bolt. Your son will love her."


"I trust you, Zeus. Get my son to Olympus."

Instructions on how to make links are here. It explains it far better than I could. As for the images, the Gallery we have in the forum automatically re-sizes images to the standard size, and isn't too difficult to use. The Gallery itself is here and instructions are here.

And I tried using the gallery but I failed miserably.
I create an album, and yet when I go to upload pictures it claims I have no albums?
