sims 3 newbie..graveyard job???
« on: October 16, 2009, 09:49:44 PM »
Hi there, have always been a big fan of the sims but have only just (last week) managed to get a computer good enough to play the sims 3 on (my old one broke - yusssss!!!  ;D) so am a bit of a newbie to this latest fantastic installment (can't wait for world adventures!).

Is there any way of getting a job at the graveyard?? There is a family that came with the game that all work there, but I can't seem to find a way to get a job there.

Love this site by the way Carl, and thanks everyone for the 'challenges' you put out - a fantastic way to make the game more interesting. I was actually already starting to get bored with the way that it seems to be just completing their lifelong 'ambition' then that is it. Anyone got any other tips to keep the fun alive??

Hi Kat and welcome to the forum as well as the game.  In answer to your question, click on the mausolem in the graveyard to get a job there.  I have not actually gotten a job there, but did see the option when I was going to explore the catacombs.

Trying out the self-employment  stuff has really been fun for me to play the game.  I love the gardening and fishing aspects and the painting and writing are terrrific ways to makes loads of cash.

Have fun playing and look forward to you posting again soon!!

Yeah mix it up, there's dozens of viable ways to make your Sims make money. Let your Sim breed, and carry on the generations to see what happens.

Some people keep the fun alive by leaving free will on high and only controlling one or two Sims at a time in the household. It can be funny the things they do. I promise there is much, much more to experience in this game than you've even touched upon. 122 pages now and still learning all kinds of cool tricks.

It's open-ended, some people have problems with that. Try looking at the challenges board and try to do one of those. Igzigpuff also posted a long list of player made challenges. This will give your gameplay some focus if you like.

In short it's a house with 8 insane sims and you only play one of them, the rest just do what they want.

Usually I'm quite goal oriented when I play, you know, get money fast, get to top of career, get lifetime wish, but in this one I like to just let things slide sometimes and just watch them. Or repair everything the loonies break... ::)

I believe it's a part time-job. But I have seen it before.
