Fireworks!
« on: July 17, 2012, 09:40:37 AM »
Fireworks are my new favorite! I really like how when you set of fireworks, it tells you to go into map view and you really see the fireworks! Imagine the storytelling possibilities with them. You could have a proper 4th of July. And that would be a good idea for Bachelor/ette parties!

My first Sim to set off the fireworks did it inside the house and it caught fire.  No deaths, though.

Is there any chance anyone could post screenshots of them here? I've never seen in-game fireworks. I got some from China in my just-for-fun file but when they set off they like, kind of made a raspberry sound and "failed" so I never got to see them. :-\

Too long ago for me. I set them off at birthdays and weddings. But, when the fire started and guest died, I didn't do it again.

I love the fireworks too, though I wish there had been a fireworks stand added in the towns that way you wouldn't have to go all the way to china just to buy fireworks without cheating your way to the fireworks. :-\  But the fireworks will make shapes sometimes, at least, that's what it looks like to me, but if you set them off in the house it will catch fire.  But I really like the animation for it so i always set them off in the house.  Hehe.

I have yet too get a fire from fireworks, my sim autonomously set them off outside. CooCoo Girl you have the makings to be a Physcopath, if you could see my face you would see the kindness that would never purposely insult someone. Have you ever made a death shack? I have.

Murderers! Pyros! Glory! Finally unquestionable evidence that I'm not alone in the Simiverse... Let's celebrate with fireworks

Now, I don’t have WA but in my personal experience fireworks in the Sims games are kinda lame.

I’m talking about the fireworks stand in The Sims: Livin’ Large. All that happens is a little rocket goes up off the screen and comes back down, exploding into a tiny cloud of smoke once it hits the ground. I find it boring, but all the sims on the lot come to watch and applaud afterwards.

And then of course it causes a fire if it is launched/lands indoors. A fairly large one at that.

If someone would mind posting some screenshots I’d happily consider changing my mind.
