Which is your Favourite Neighbourhood/World?
« Reply #90 on: September 12, 2012, 02:31:38 AM »
I agree about Moonlight Falls! (what is that, now, my 5th favorite?) I'm currently playing Marigold the Fairy. There's a house of Goth ghosts, too. EA really did a great job with the townies in this one.

Lucky Palms and Riverview are my favourite. I love Riverview for it's traditional look, and I love Lucky Palms for how different it is from the others.

I'm really torn on this one...
While I really like all the worlds due to their own style and theme, but I have to say that EA's team making worlds for the Sims Store have really stepped up their game in the world creation department and I find myself playing the most in either Lunar Lakes, Lucky Palms, or Sunlit Tides.  They're all so beautiful and while things are a bit "cramped" in Lunar Lakes I just love the sci-fi/space theme to it and I just love the beauty and huge size of both Lucky Palms and Sunlit Tides.  ;D

I Voted Sunset Valley because of the familiarity that I have with it. I'm incredibly oriented towards what I already know, so it's just kind of a reflex.

Moonlight Falls comes in second though, it's really well done as far as the stories go (Story matters to me more than looks, except in the case of TB, which just scares me.)

Sunset Valley. I've 100% loved it since Vanilla. I don't know why.

I see that there are no votes for Appaloosa Plains on this new poll. What a shame. It's tied with Moonlight Falls for my second favorite town. Appaloosa Plains is amazingly charming and quite lovely in terms of landscaping and atmosphere; Moonlight Falls is kind of dark and grungy, but not in the more realistic way that Twinbrook is. Moonlight Falls is magically quirky on top of its darkness. It can't replace Twinbrook in my heart, but I quickly fell in love with it.

I'll never understand Sunset Valley, though. I've played SV a lot, but my first move was always along the lines of "obliterate everyone and everything." Then I got Late Night and Ambitions and I never looked back.

I wish we had more than one option when we vote. I love Moonlight Falls, but I live Twinbrook and Appaloosa plains as well. I don't play Sunset Valley much, because all the ambitions buildings are placed backwards and the townies don't have muscle definition lol! :P

I like Moonlight Falls. It has potential. But, the supernatural bars are BORING! Reminds me of Sunset Valley and other towns where everyone goes to bed at 10pm. I have revamped them with professional bars and dance floors.

Rank the Worlds!
« Reply #98 on: January 01, 2013, 03:20:33 PM »
I hope this is inline with the forum rules, feel free to lock it/delete it if its not.

Out of the EA created worlds you have, which is your favourite? If you can't decide, try this criteria:
1. Appearance: Which world looks the best?
2. Lots: How good are the lots in the worlds?
3. Sims: What types of sims do you like in your worlds?
4. Flexibility: How flexible is the world? Does it work with all your expansions well? Does it look good in all seasons? What about the Supernaturals? Does it have space to place lots released with the expansion packs?
5. Enjoyment: Is it fun playing in the world?

Remember to specify which games and store worlds you play!

I'll go first:
(1 is my favourite, 5 is my least favourite)
I have World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Seasons and Riverview.
1. Riverview- Beautiful world, plenty of space
2. Sunset Valley- Lovely World, need adjusting due to ambitions
3. Appaloosa Plains- Good sims, change if scenery from RV and SV
4. Twinbrook- Richer area/ main area nice, swamp horrible
5. Bridgeport- Dull, dismal, bad for families, takes forever to get anywhere

If you are not sure what worlds there are, see This thread.

Sorry to disagree; but, I hated Riverview. Dirty looking town with unlikeable townies.
Sunset Valley is dulls ville. Everyone seems to go to sleep at 8pm.
Appaloosa Plains, is full of cowboys, who are dull and uncultured.
Twinbrook, not far from Riverview.
Bridgeport, lively, fun and interesting townies. Who wants to have a zillion kids? And getting from one place to another, get a fast car and your there in minutes! At least people party in BP and don't go to bed at 8pm.

In other words, depends on your lifestyle. I live in a big city and hate suburbia!

Don't worry about disagreeing MoMoll. We all play in different ways and the whole point of this thread was to see what other people thought of the worlds. I love playing families and the countryside and you appear to prefer adults in urban areas.

I hear you bubbles! My biggest problem is that seasoons has totally messed up Bridgeport. It used to work fine and is now a mess! I'm thinking of going into another town and annihilating everyone I don't like and importing BP residents. Problem is I'll have to revamp the town with high rises, etc.

From the worlds I have:

1. Twinbrook (Really gorgeous scenery, interesting townies, and a nice grungy feel that I like. And swamps)
2. Moonlight Falls (Occults, also nice scenery, lots of extra room, and great townies)
3. Appaloosa Plains (Pretty and charming)
4. Bridgeport (Wonderful scenery, great townies, and one of my longest-running games was there. Celebrities, elevators, bouncer ropes, and routing issues bring it down some notches)
5. Riverview (Not the most interesting place in the world, but it really reminds me of some rural towns half an hour away from me)
6. Starlight Shores (Somewhat uninteresting townies, rather gorgeous architecture and scenery. I should probably mention that my family's from California and makes me super-biased)
7. Sunset Valley (Perhaps the only world I sometimes hate. Some of the townies are nice, but the atmosphere is really boring and inconsistent, and it just reeks of an awful Stepford suburbia)

Out of the five I have I'd rank them:
1. Moonlight Falls - the brownies are diverse and interesting and I love the old, spooky charm of the town and the lots.
2. Sunset Valley - Oldie but goodie, very pretty place, only problem is adding in lots.
3. Bridgeport - The townies are interesting, it's lively and different. I do have an issue with getting around the town.
4. Twinbrook - Eh. While the townies and their ' unique' genetics are strangely endearing. Many aspects of the town are dull and unexciting.
5. Apaloosa Plains - Just didn't grab me at all, everything is dull and cowboyish...

For anyone who has Lunar Lakes, would you recommend it? Simpoints for Christmas and no idea what to do with them. :)
Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.

By "brownies", I assume you mean townies!
