I love Riverview. Not only because it's so beautiful with the river dividing the town in two parts, but also because I always feel that I have to stick with a certain type of architecture when building houses in towns so they fit in, and Riverview gives a lot more choice than other towns. For example, in AP every house needs to be large country houses, preferably with barns and large gardens, and in SS the houses need to be modern houses with large, open windows and pools. But in Riverview I can build all sort of houses without it looking out of place (also there's a lot of places to put lots on in Riverview). On the side where the school and fire department is, I build traditional houses with cosy gardens, and on the other side of the river I build modern looking houses with big windows towards the river, and it looks so good. Yes, I might be a bit crazy.

My second favourite is Moonlight Falls, because I love supernaturals! I also love the big, odd, mysterious houses with towers and porches. They are like small castles! I actually like that it's not that much of "action" in these towns, because that just allows/forces me to use my fantasy and make things happen. Both Riverview and Moonlight Falls are, in my opinion, great towns for creating stories. Moonlight Falls reminds me a lot of Veronaville in TS2, because there are these two families that hates each other, and secretly, two descendants of the families are in love. It's so exciting! What more can one possibly ask for?

There are also these two town I don't like at all. I don't want to say I hate them, I just never play with them because they are so boring. These are Starlight Shores and Isla Paradiso. I don't like Starlight Shores because it reminds me of the boring real world, where everything is about being rich and famous. The town itself lacks character. I don't like Los Angeles inspired setting, this popular culture, and the townies are boring.

Isla Paradiso confuses me. It's a beautiful setting and I like the colourful houses, but I really don't like that it's so scattered. Small islands everywhere, almost no place for building lots. It also takes forever to go somewhere since you have to go by boat. I am always worried pregnant sims wont get to hospital in time. I also can't get a grip of the people living there. It lacks so much story. Okay, we have this rich, evil man who is hated by everyone, and that's it. That is what's keeping the town together. It could have been so good, but it isn't. Just like I create houses to fit in the town, I also like to create families that fit in, and in Isla Paradiso I really have trouble doing so because it doesn't make sense for me.

I'm sorry if I was harsh. Of course everything is what you make it to :)

Welcome to the forum, elf!  I have to agree with you - it's nice to know where everything is, who the natural cooks are, etc.  That's one of the reasons Sunset Valley is high on my list of favourites too.  Enjoy the forum.  :)

I think my current most favourite is Dragon Valley. They all have unique colours and medieval looks.
I don't have re-colour their skin and still be able to get an interesting colour on the offsprings and the scenery is something I should thumb up for.

I've revised my vote since I now have IP.  Sad that I can only pick three as some have tied and it was hard to decide which ones.

1)  Moonlight Falls no problem in stating it is my first, reasons stay the same, feels a lot like home, hills, river, we have a lot of fog at certain times of the year and a lot of old houses.
I love the interesting characters and the various relationships they have.  Naturally, I feel it needs more children in it, more sims expecting, but that can be fixed easily.

2) Dragon Valley  Love the Celtic look, my heritage is Irish from all sides of my families, dad and moms.  So I feel a connection to the town, love the medieval aspect of suspended in time yet combined modern aspect of tv, computers and cell phones.

3)  Riverview and Monte Vista. These are the two that I see as tied.  Riverview has a similarity of my home area, lots of hills, river that divides two towns, or in my home three states.  Lots of room between some houses and yet an area that has to me the grid feel to it.   And of course, plenty of free lots to build on and nice sizes for growth.
Monte Vista for the Italian feel, the old city that has an ancient past, not just been built around 100 years ago, but several hundreds of years ago and hidden secrets.  The thing that I don't like about it and so kept it from beating out RV is the lack of decent lots to build on.  The townies are very interesting and easy to play with, needs more kids, babies, but is normal in all of the towns.

One that I know would replace MV is Isla Paradiso; I love the vacation aspect of it.  Take a family there and enjoy some fun in the sun.  I do wish they would have had some of the smaller islands with lots on them, seem a waste of space to me.
The thing that keeps it off my list is the problems in playing it.  I don't know if it would be called lagging or what.  They just stop and start all of a sudden and this can go on for quite some time, which makes it too frustrating to enjoy the game.

Honorable Mention would be China.  I love to visit that country for some reason.  I enjoy Egypt for the tomb exploration but I can get that in China also.  Perhaps it is the hills, the colors of the trees that make me feel at home yet the differences that says I am in another country that is the appeal.

Aurora Skies, sad to say I still can't enjoy myself there.  Had to visit that town in a town jump story and again, I find it too depressing.  Like the people, some of them are very interesting and I think if I keep the town I will move some of them to other towns.

Sunset Valley has gotten better with the addition of IP, the sail boating, windsurfing, snorkeling all add an aspect of enjoyment.  Kids and even adults playing in the sand, splashing in water and just enjoying more than sitting around.

My three picks were Moonlight Falls, Monte Vista and Roaring Heights.

Monte Vista is solely because I love Tuscany as a setting, and enjoyed sending my main Sims couple there as a late honeymoon/year abroad. In practice, the layout is screwy and awkward. But I love the look.

Roaring Heights is my current favorite Store world. The design team knocked this one out of the park as far as capturing late 1920s Art Deco / South Beach look and feel. Also, the layout is efficient with plenty of space to build. This world does make me wish however for some kind of global outfit control, so I could assure townies dress in 20s style. And no, I don't let my RH Sims have television. I only allow computers because without it there is no Writing skill, but this town makes me wish for typewriters.

Moonlight Falls.  Maybe because it is Supernatural that drew me into The Sims 3 to begin with (previously, I had only played The Sims Social on FB), but I really like this town a lot, and it is the one I consider "home".  It is the world I have done the most with as far as building my own new venues as well as placing ones I have bought. I simply like the spread-out feel, the mountainous but lush and green river valley setting and the variety of available housing.

The best ones, in my view, are Islo Paradiso and Sunset Valley. I actually really dislike Bridgeport. I'm don't know exactly why.

My favourite town is Twinbrook, because of the swampy, foggy areas. It gives the town more of a gloomy, yet beautiful feel to it. The biggest problems with it are that some of the lots are quite far from the central area, and that there aren't many good salt water fishing areas. Twinbrook is certainly my favourite, out of the towns I have.

My three picks were SV, Bridgeport, and Isla Paradiso.

1. Sunset Valley- This is where my largest family lives, and where I play the most. I love the views, and it just feels like home, I guess. It's a very cheerful, sunny world and there are some neat houses.
2. Bridgeport- I like the busy feel of this city. I like the subways and food trucks too. I play a celebrity family and a vampire family in Bridgeport, and the apartments are fun.
3. Isla Paradiso- I only have SV and Bridgeport, but I love the ocean, so I'd love to have Island Paradise. I want to play as a mermaid. The last time I tried to get a new EP (Pets) it didn't work, though, and I had to uninstall it, so I don't know if I'll get another EP/World anytime soon.
