I think the neighbourhood I played the most is Bridgeport, with Moonlight Falls as a close second. I do go back to SV from time to time, but that's only when I really feel like playing with particular townies. I'm also liking Hidden Springs, Dragon Valley and Aurora Skies. Though, they do need a little bit more playtime for me to really adress their pros and cons.

My favorites are Moonlight Falls and Isla Paradiso. I think both of them are a lot of fun and I find them more beautiful than Sunset Valley or any other town. Even though lots of people are having issues with IP, for once I can say I'm having none of them and I love the happy and relaxed environment it has.

I also like Appaloosa but it crashes everytime I try to play in it so I just avoid it. And oh well, I don't have Dragon Valley or Monte Vista yet... from what I've seen in pictures I think both of them would be my new faves if I had them.

Hey everyone, I'm new here but I have used the site for many building tips and hints!

My favourite town is Twinbrook, I like the architecture and the landscape just appeals to me (its a bit gloomy, I live in Scotland so I guess that's why I identify with it!). I like the Townies too, and while I like lots of lots (haha) its small enough for my Sims to get out and about without long journeys.

I have Monte Vista, Hidden Springs, Lucky Palms and Aurora Skies from all the store worlds. The only town I've really played more than three generations in is Lucky Palms, but I got frustrated with the size of it! I guess small towns are suited to me. I keep them installed for the bonus content though. I may move my family there at some point for a change.

I've updated my opinion lately because on new towns, so I'll just explain my opinions.

Riverview: Riverview is still my favourite town without a doubt. I love the size of it, all the empty lots, the farm/country feel and the range of townies. I live in England in a large town but I have always wanted to live out in the countryside. I can bored of endless streets of modern houses, roundabouts, cars and people. I get tired of walking down the same pathed redway to school every morning and walking down the same path back every afternoon. Riverview is kind of my dream place to live. It reminds me of villages I drive through and where my grandparents live. If I were a sim, I would live in Riverview. I also like Riverview for the empty lots to build on. Most of my contest and swap shop builds are completed in Riverview unless stated to be done in other worlds.

Appaloosa Plains: I love Appaloosa Plains for similar reasons to Riverview. The empty lots are big, but a builders dream. I don't see myself living there, mostly because of the desert-type style, but it's a livable place for wealthy sims. There is a huge lack of affordable housing, but a decent builder can quickly solve that. I don't play the townies that often but I love playing with pets and exploring cats, dogs and horses.

Moonlight Falls: The gloomier atmosphere makes a change to Riverview and Appaloosa Plains, but this town is very interesting to play in. The townies are all so diverse with rich story lines and history. There are so many decent houses in this town, with plenty of space to add more every time you play. I love playing witches and fairies and this town is specially crafted to suit their magical needs. To get the full experience, you do need to set the moon phases to rotate, but since one setting is the same for all game files, I can't turn it on since I turned it off for my dynasties. I do kind of regret some of my dynasty settings, but I guess I have to live with them now.

Union Cove: This world is very diverse with lovely townies, beautiful houses and landscaping and very creative lots. There is a lack of empty lots, but that can't really be helped and you just have to sacrifice a lot or two if you want to do some building. I don't play Union Cove often, but I still love the world to pieces.

Isla Paradiso: I don't own any store worlds, so this is the first world where I can explore the tropical lifestyle. I love the Caribbean theme and the rich range of townies. The houseboats are really cool, the dive lots are good and the resorts are stunning. This is basically my dream holiday! I haven't played here much but I do really love so much about the world.

So there we have it. A detailed overview into my favourite worlds.

I have only Sunset Valley for now, but I will love to have Union Cove, Aurora Skies, and Isla Paradiso in my game. And I really would like to visit China.

My favorite towns for looks to play in are Lucky Palms and Hidden Springs. I love the cabins in the woods in Hidden Springs. In Lucky Palms I love all the Mid Century Modern architecture. Some really fabulous buildings went into creating it.

Moonlight Falls is beautifully atmospheric. The fog, the wide open space for werewolves to run. Fabulous. I wish it didn't have so many combined rabbit holes.

I played Twinbrook only for years. I bought the Sims3 as a bundle with World Adventures and Ambitions when I finally got a computer upgrade that could run it. I started Twinbrook right away and never played Sunset Valley at all. I still have not played it very much. I love the swamp in Twinbrook. It has lots of routable areas for house building. Good place for supernaturals....

Appaloosa Plains is beautiful but it needs more townies and houses to move into.

I've played extensively in Riverview as well.

I've played long games in just about every town except for Bridgeport and Sunset Valley. I need to figure out a story for myself to play Bridgeport, since I love the way it looks.

Sunset Valley is too generic for me. Plus after reading so many legacy stories here, it is too familiar.

I play the most in Sunset Valley, maybe because I know the townies so well.

I absolutely adore Dragon Valley! It's the first town that doesn't feel like there's a cliche on every corner (like the names of the buildings, so on). I love the Sims silliness but when it comes down to it I really like when it can be serious as well. I absolutely love the genetics of all of the townies there, after so many years of living with the usual EA face that comes out after a while (the one where everyone starts to look alike) it's really nice to see some strong variation. I've gotten gorgeous children from these townies that are far from usual. I also love that it runs so smoothly for long variations of time and over generations.

I'm also very biased (obviously, it is my opinion) as I adore medieval fantasy stuff. Though the downside to it - it's HUGE. I hate having to climb mountains to get some special seeds. I also don't like that BECAUSE it's so different and unique that the Expansion Packs additions (Salons, Consignment Stores, Fire Stations) just don't fit in well. Nothing too difficult to handle though.

Of course my second favorite is probably Isla Paradiso at the moment because I just adore how it looks. I live in the Midwest in the United States: Indiana to be precise and I see a lot of corn and snow and cold. I don't like snow or cold very much, and corn is getting on my nerves after growing up here. I love the ocean, so living in a paradise would be so amazing! Third favorite is Sunset Valley - just because I always know exactly what to expect as for about a year that was the only neighborhood I had. I know the pricings for my favorite lots (with and without houses) and I know the townies forward and backward.

My least favorite to play is Bridgeport, but it's a double-edged sword for me. I like that it's a city, I like cities, but I don't like that it's the ONLY city made by EA and I don't like how bogged down my game will get after a short time of playing.

Midnight Hollow has very quickly taken my number one for favorite world. I love the Gothic Victorian look of everything and the residents are interesting. Now I finally have a place for my all of my darker sims to live in without having their houses stick out like a sore thumb.  ::)

Dragon Valley is a close second though. I love how the streets are named after Celtic/Irish gods and goddesses.

I'm personally a huge fan of good old Sunset Valley. It's simple, I know lots about it because I've played with it the longest, and it's beautiful!

I too have to say Sunset Valley, mainly because its the only town I've spent significant time in.  I've tried several of the others after installing a new expansion, and just couldn't get into them.  Gonna try that later with an attempt at a variation of Random Town Jump later after picking up the other expansions I need and hopfully getting a couple more towns from the store.

Edited the poll to include Midnight Hollow, for the sake of completeness.

I love Sunlit Tides, I don't often get to visit the beach and when I do it's not terribly exciting or beautiful. So, I get to live out my beach life fantasy in Sunlit Tides, even when it rains it's still pretty and the sunset is gorgeous.

Yeah, I have the Pets expansion pack, but I could never fully get into Appaloosa Plains.
