"Connection to server has been lost."
« on: July 11, 2012, 10:54:31 AM »
Is anyone else having this problem or just me?
My internet connection works just fine, and Sims 3 was working yesterday and all the other days but not today. :/
Is it because of a mod I downloaded? I downloaded a bunch of mods today before I started Sims 3.
I tried restarting the laptop but it still won't work. :|
I've only been playing Sims 3 for about 2 months, so I don't really know that much.

What were you doing when you got the message that the connection to the server has been lost?

I get this every so often, I just try to sign in again. It usually works when I just restart the game, it's never persistent. How much times has it happened?

I tried again but it won't work! It won't let me sign in and it still says that the connection to the server has been lost.

What were you doing when you got the message that the connection to the server has been lost?

I was downloading some mods and I was on Google Chrome.

Only once. It started to happen today. I tried signing in a couple of times and restarting the game but it still won't work. :/

Is the message coming through the Sims 3 Launcher?  Or is it a message you're getting from the site you're downloading from?

I got the message here, when I was trying to log in. (Btw, I blocked the save name because it's last name.)

Umm... Couldn't you just play the game without the internet connection for a while, to see if it's just some temporary hiccup with the connection?
If you push the round button whit the check mark (not the log in button), does it still give that Network Error?
I think it should load the game without online connection if you click that.

I know it's annoying it isn't working and I can't offer any real help but I thought I'd mention in case you weren't aware that you don't need to log in/be online to play the game. The line "The Sims is not working" on your post made it sound like that.
Unless you don't want to play at all without connecting to Simport etc.
