Somewhere on page 1, Metro gave permission to someone to consider the Ark Builder complete if you met the requirements. I couldn't get it to register either -- like Chuckles, I had a male and female of each species, and my Sim stuck around for a week, but nothing.

On Cat Herder, right now, my Sim is friends with more cats in his relationship panel than show on the LTW.

Does the ghost pet have to be in the household at the end of the challenge, or at any point in time and can be moved back out again?

Since I opted not to specify in the rules, then it's up to the player.

It's all part of the strategy ruby :)

Wait.. so it's not a glitch??   :o    Good grief and I thought I left the easiest two LTW for last!  Thanks for the info Chuckles, I guess it's back to task then!   ;D

Hi, I just thought I'd share this.  Might help some people out.

My Ark Builder sim didn't register her LTW right away too, because she wasn't the one who collected the minor pets, I thought.  So I made her start collecting them on her own.  Lucky though that I started her at night so the first insects I collected were two fireflies.  As soon as I caught them I got the LTW.  I don't know if it was because the game finally did the checks when I caught the pair and figured out that I actually had enough to finish the LTW after all, or whether the game needed the fireflies.  Might work for you guys too.

I am going to bow out of this one I am just not a pet person and I am not enjoying playing the challenge. Best of luck to everyone else.

Holy Mother of God... this was one LONG difficult challenge.  It's going to be awhile before I play with a sim cat or dog let me tell you!   ;D    so many glitches... at one point my Cat Herder sims cats all stopped aging!!  LOL   Hope some more people finish this one.

Final Score 26 Weeks 1 Days  (** edit, Oops had to go back, forgot the ghost pet, LOL...had plenty running around but forgot to have one as a family member!)

Congratulations on finishing this! I think it'll be a long time before any of my Sims have dogs or cats, too.

I am almost done too but seriously, after this, no more pets for my sims! Or better said, no more pets-related LTW!!! I expected them to be a pain but they are really even worse than I had anticipated LOL.

Apart from a few glitches I really haven't found them all that bad. Perhaps I know a few things you guys don't ;) I must say I'm not a fan of cats. I found them a little more fun and intriguing to watch though.

I didn't have any glitches I just don't like Pets. That's one of the reasons I keep avoiding my Simself dynasty I don't like playing the horse riding supermax and career.

Cats are actually what I like the most! The have cool animations! But still, trying to befriend 15 cats (or dogs) is the most boring thing I have ever done in The Sims LOL.

It took me a few weeks with the cats alone to figure out how to cut some time off the dog LTW... I think the dogs are easier to friend too, LOL  The only 'true' glitches I had were the Arc Builder LTW not registering, the Jockey LTW registering before I had $40,000 or Lvl 10 in the career, and my cats sudden age stop which fixed when I switched homes, prob just glitchy because of the constant max sims/pets on the lot.
