Thank you for your kind words :) If it's any consolation, I'm planning on a story set in it myself, which will hopefully start this autumn. BTW, your Solaris dynasty is awesome! Edited to add - gutted about the loss of all your EPs and CC :( Are any of them re-downloadable?

I thought, as I've made so few updates recently, I should put a few more pics online - just a couple of scenic shots (I decided that, as there are so many empty residential lots, I should at least turn them into fields or something), and the new dance club, which is rather cornily named Lovehearts.

So, these are some of the new fields, with the exclusive lounge visible in the top left

And the completed horse ranch:

And here's why Lovehearts has such a cheesy name (this building doesn't fit in to the overall architectual style at ALL, but I like it!):

In Lovehearts is a taste of Eden (for the pure of heart only)

And plenty of fun with friends and loved ones

I love the way you have done the fields with the shrubbery around the edges - very realistic!

That is wonderful news! I look forward to that story!
All EPs are downloadable, but the CC doesn't take. Never mind.

I like the fields too and Lovehearts is a hoot! :)

Thanks :D I'm going for realism in this build, so yay... I was looking at the map, thinking to myself "I want more fields, but all the space is taken up with residential lots" and then I thought "D'oh".

SimBlip, thanks! I'm looking forward to writing it (I've been planning it for what feels like an age, so I'll be glad to actually finally get into it... Shame about the CC, but such is life  sometimes...

SwirlGirl, glad you like it! FYI, I'll be uploading individual lots as well as the whole world, so it'll be possible just to download the club :)

Awesome! I wonder if that Chinese bar I really liked will be uploaded. I can't remember the name, unfortunately. The one with the Kyoto drink. "Green Lily" or something?

Yes it will be (it definitely will be now, as you've said you want it to be :) )

The drink names are standard - any professional bar on a lot designated Fusion Lounge will have these drink names (or should do) - I just decided to go with that theme for the architecture :)

Moar pictures...

Pool at night (have added stairs where they were missing!)

Playing with rocks as decoration (and there's the dynasty lot - or, the only 64 x 64 residential lot :D)

And, because I haven't posted one of these in a while, a full-Island overhead shot...

The building is now, finally, pretty much done *wipes forehead*... I will probably add another couple of houses in the new bit of town (where there are big green patches), but now it is literally terrain painting and final blobs of decoration... I know I've said this a few times before but it really is close to completion now :) REALLY looking forward to uploading this and getting started on the ID story!

Thank you ladydragon and SimBlip so much, I am actually pretty proud of it, for a first attempt at a world... it's certainly been a steep learning curve :) And I'm really really happy and honoured that other people like it too!

Terrain painting is the thing I've left until last, and is, frankly, a little intimidating to me... so we'll see how that goes...

Well you've done a great job on the painting and sculpting so far, so I think you'll be fine.  :)

It looks great! It looked much smaller when it was empty, but now I see it's actually the perfect size! I think I already said this but I love the bay with those... walls? (don't know if they are called like that in english  ;D) around it.

If I may, I'd just like to suggest for terrain painting, keep the opacity and falloff low so you won't have big blotches of paint. Also, try doing light layers of paint; I find that doing several coats of paint can help make it look more... 3D and realistic, if that makes sense. And save frequently; I tend to forget this step and clear all the paint, save it, then realize I deleted the backup save of the paint before, which leaves me facepalming several times, lol ;D. Of course, I think you already know all of this, but still, just a suggestion. :P Good luck!
