Equestrian Center in Sunset Valley
« on: July 09, 2012, 02:44:23 PM »
I know I can put the smaller Equestrian Center in town to free up the Dynasty lot.  But where exactly has everyone been putting it?  It's a 40 x 40 lot and I don't see an empty lot big enough for it.

You can go up to Pinocle Point, remove the two top right lots, place the 40x40 in their place, change lot type and add the new equestrian center.

You haven't broken the rules, Saturn, because we actually do allow mods to be discussed and linked on this Forum where it's appropriate.  In this case, it's not really appropriate because this isn't on the mods board and nobody was actually asking about them.  What we don't want to have happen is that using mods becomes the answer for any problem.  Personally, I don't touch mods and I'm not interested in any of them or what they do.  :)

Thanks, judewright and Ricalynn.  I'll check those spots.

I hate pretty much all of the default placements for the Ambitions lots in SV, so I remove them and put them on lots better suited to them, which frees up a couple of 40x40 lots.  The one at the top of Pinochle Point, if you put the junkyard elsewhere, is good for it, as is the lot that the fire station was originally on.  If you need it for a challenge that doesn't allow you to move around lots, though, that would complicate things. :(

@Pam: I'm pretty certain there's a 40x40 lot next to Agnes's house too, I placed the big park from Generations there and that's a 40x40 so you might want to consider that lot too. Also, couldn't you just place an empty 40x40 lot somewhere and use that?

Could you check with Metro and see if you can move the junkyard one lot across? I think the lot that the junkyard is on is a 40x40, and it's needlessly taking up that space.

I think I put mine next to Agnes's house as well.

But then the junkyard spawners would still be on that lot. Wouldn't that be a problem?

Yes it can be - but if you put a rabbit hole building like the smaller equestiran centre, then there is no problem.  If you plonk a park on that old grady's junkstop lot, you will still get objects for salvage popping up like mushrooms.

I always move the salon up to Pinnocle Point with the Consignment store anyway.  I can then bulldoze the the old consignment store lot and install a 40 x 40 lot there too.  Alternative, the 40 x 30 lot right beside Grady's Junkstop can be buldozed and a 40 x 40 lot will fit there as well.

I think that's a 40 x 30 lot as I have often placed forum houses there.
