When he's not painting, Darren gets to write children's books. There are a lot of wishes from writing. Here he is achieving his LTW of Illustrious Author (yes, the same and Gennie's)

A pond was built in the back for Beulah so she could fish for Deathfish all day.

Evangeline has grown her garden to have all species of plants that don't require opportunities or travel. She managed to get the first opportunity for cheese and egg plants and supermaxed gardening with it!

Darleen and Darren keep sculpting and painting. They know their duties and are happy to help with them. Darleen even got a mid-life crisis to change her traits.

Igor and Darleen had the same birthday so they threw a party and invited every celebrity they knew. One guest keeps complaining that's he's hungry and tired, but he had a great time anyway!

<Yes, Buelah is inappropriate. I never noticed before, either. I just cared about her fishing skill.>

Neither Igor nor Darleen got a midlife crisis from aging up. Phew.
Darren and Gennie both started working on Igor's portraits. One of them would get a masterpiece before Igor's elder birthday party!

Igor fished his 20th type of fish at home. His first of hundreds of Deathfish to come!

Once Darleen supermaxed sculpting, she sculpted Igor's ice sculpture and took his photograph. <I can't hang the photograph - it keeps disappearing on the wall. I've taken it 3 times now. I didn't have that issue with his YA photo. Hmmm.>

Darleen convinced Darren that it was time to bring in a new generation of helpers. They both had rolled wants for a child so, why not?

Not to be left behind, Igor starts chatting up the female population of Lucky Palms. He is bound and determined to find the right spouse to bring in the next immortal.

While Igor was at the Bistro meeting girls, Grim decided it was time to visit the McRugger household. RIP Evangeline. She was 103 and loved the hot tub. Thank you for your contributions of the beautiful garden and the moodlet manager.

Thanks for the goodbyes, but they are not done. When Evangeline died I paused the game and wrote the story. When I came back...

Beulah hadn't even had time to put away her fishing rod and run over to see Grim take away Evangeline. She started to feel light-headed and floated upon the air. It was funny to see Grim run (ok, float quickly) across the yard. He must have double-scheduled himself for the McRugger household for today. Beulah is remembered for her many deathfish (along with many other tasty fish), the dusty old lamp on the counter, the hoverbed in the bedroom and the collection helper. Beulah lived to a very happy 101. Her urn was added to the family mausoleum, which will be shown soonish.

Gennie inherited Evangeline's moodlet manager. She put it to good use right away.

Gardening chores have fallen to Igor. He has the skill but has never spent much time gardening.

He spends his free time chatting up the eligible single females in town. Like the new maid. He even asked her to go to the movies with him, but she wants him to buy the tickets.

Darleen decides that it must be a good time to have her baby. Since Grim came to visit last night and she's done making sculptures for now. And she's sure she and Darren can put the lifetime happiness points to good use. Welcome baby Delilah!

Darren celebrates by painting the same masterpiece as Gennie. I can just hear them now - "Hey, that's my idea. Stop it! Whoever finishes first gets to claim it!"

Igor keeps calling all the girls he knows hoping to strike a spark. Talking about the nuclear tests in Lucky Palms isn't going to get him far.

Grim decided he likes the McRugger place. There was a stray cat visiting who's time had come. Grim even stayed to check out the fishtanks.

Darleen took the cat's tombstone to the cemetery. The house had enough haunting going on with the first few deaths.

Well, Grim is a multi-tasker at this house. No sooner had the cat died then Ginny gave up the ghost. RIP Ginny. She brought in Igor's young adult and adult portrait, Darren and Darleen's portraits, and quite a few simoleans from selling paintings along with two motive mobiles (yes, two!).

Her urn was added to the family crypt. It is a work in progress that the family is sure will be a masterwork before long with a portrait of each spouse, spare and assistant. Since high school diplomas are unable to be sold, the family has decided to hang them next to the portrait of the deceased, along with awards and such.

Of course, the Immortals' rooms will have more stuff. Each Immortal will get his or her own room, while the rest of the family have to share the connecting rooms.

Igor acheived his lifetime wish of becoming a creature-robot cross breeder a few days later. He is only one level from maxing his career and close to supermaxing his skill of fishing.

The one thing he's really missing is a wife to bring in the next generation. He keeps meeting up with local girls, both townies and NPCs, but no sparks.

Realizing that Igor is taking his time at bringing in an heir, Darren and Darleen decide to bring in someone in their own way.

Darleen invited all the single ladies in Lucky Palms to Delilah's first birthday party. These two are Jill Nunn (a maid) and Kyle McCombs (a former babysitter). Darren likes them both, but no romantic wishes so far. Maybe one will become the future Mrs McRugger?

Darleen brought Delilah to the cake. She sure looks like the offspring of her parents:

I really lucked out picking the Golden Gals to move in. Igor is in no hurry to marry or bring in the next generation. The garden is almost perfect. Money is no object - the family has over $800,000 right now, plus about 40 sculptures on the lawn (Darleen has a wish for placing 50 sculptures). I think I'm off to a pretty good start so far.

Delilah is an adorable child. You can't really tell in her pic, but her eyes are the same dark green as Igor's. I saved the color but didn't expect them to show up in the household so soon.

Darleen and Darren took care to make sure they taught Delilah all the skills she would need for a successful childhood. Darleen even explained the sheer luck that being born into this household meant that Delilah was wealthy and would want for nothing. She would have to work hard but her art would win awards. If she worked very hard, she may even be able to find love and marry the man of her dreams.

Darren took time off from painting to read some books about painting to Delilah. He really wants her to follow in his footsteps and be a professional artist.

Darleen kept up her sculpting right until her water broke. Darren was as useless as all the males in Lucky Palms. Beulah stopped by but she was just as useless.

Darleen convinced Darren to soothe his mind and go back to painting - she could handle this. She gave birth to their son, beautiful Bastien.

Igor wasn't home for the birth. He was at the fishing hole, er building working on his skill. The market wanted some lobsters and called Igor to fill the order.

Realizing that he was less than a week from elder, Igor called one girl up to chat with her and decided to ask her to move in. Since he would have to live with seven more generations under his roof, he should at least get a good looking woman to be the mother of his heir. Please meet Kyle McCombs.

Bastien's birthday came up faster than anyone could remember. It seemed like just yesterday. The Snugabunny Swings really DID take the chore out of child raising, it wasn't just ad copy!

Bastien turned out to be a gorgeous toddler. His light-brown eyes are the feature everyone who stops by comments on. He's going to be a lady-killer someday!

Darleen did the usual of training Bastien. She did get some help from Kyle who is also family-oriented.

The family gathered the next day to wish Delilah a happy birthday. She aged up into a sweet-looking child. You can almost make out her dark-green eyes here.

I see Delilah got Omar's green eyes.  Great updates.   Did you try hanging a photo frame to hold the photo for Igor's Adult Stage until the weird glitch stops happening?  Welcome to little Bastien!  And Hello Kyle.  This time around in my dynasty I waited a long time too since the founder was male.  Hey why not right?

I haven't tried a photo frame. I'm in the middle of doing a challenge so I'll try that when I go back to this in a week or so.

Igor hasn't had a single romantic wish with Kyle, but now that I've moved her in he's had wishes for romance with two sims (one coworker and one he met doing an opportunity). The house has 6 sims in it. I could marry one of his romantic wishes and leave room for one nooboo, but poor Kyle will be too old to have a child by the time Darren or Darleen die. What to do, what to do...

Well, almost a month later and I'm back to update. I gave up on the challenge I was doing and decided to focus on my two stories.

Darren aged up to Elder without much fanfare. Of course he had to have a makeover to a man of leisure style...

Kyle was sent around town to meet new people. She doesn't have any duties to the family right now, so she is having fun.

Evangeline stops by almost every day. Delilah asked her about the afterlife and even got some help with her homework.

Igor met a new coworker named Piper Sparks. He immediately rolled a wish to kiss her. Maybe she can be the future Mrs McRugger, mother of the second immortal? She came over for Igor and Darleen's elder birthday party.

And it turns out she's inappropriate...

Igor's nose grew a bit when he became an elder. Or maybe it's just the angle of the pic.

Darleen is cutting an elegant figure for her elderhood, though.

I'd recommend that Igor pick Kyle, romantic wishes or not. Piper looks like she's already an adult, and there's a risk she'll become an elder before you can try for baby.

f

Kyle is about 5 days to elder. If my math is right, Piper is about the same. I'm in no rush - Igor can wait until he's immortal to get married, he  just needs to stop getting false accusations so he can keep his best friends since he's fulfilled everything else. Plus, I have a potential story in mind... lol
