Looking forward to seeing what Malissa and her family have been up to, and the changes they've made to the house! Glad you've managed to get everything working again :)

Ok we left off with the tragic discovery and loss of the family pet, and the runaway lizard Karmi.

How will Caesar manage his day today knowing that his luck will be different? He sluggishly got up and headed out his room. It was time to face the day.

Caesar grabbed a watering can and headed to the garden.

"Morning, Sunshine," Malissa said. "I thought you were going to sleep all day."

"Morning."

Malissa didn't miss that tone in his voice. "Not a pleasant evening with Poppi, dear?"

"Turty died last night. And Karmi ran away."

"Whaat?! Oh sweetheart, I'm so sorry." Malissa shook her head, "Are you gonna be okay?"

"Yea. A little bummed. I only just got Karmi. And you know Turty just got comfortable in the new place. Things were going so well."

Malissa smiled to herself, "I remember when we first got that turtle. Took him forever to get used to change. He bit your little finger and hung on so tight while you ran around the yard yelling."

Caesar smiled, "Oh yes, I remember that." He sighed. "I was going to ask Poppi to the prom."

Malissa pretended not to notice the sudden change of subject. She raised an eyebrow, "Was? You've decided to ask someone else?

"No, Mother, of course not. It's just that Karmi was my good luck charm. Now that it's gone, I'm sure my luck has gone too."

"Oh nonsense," Malissa said, "Don't you know who you are? She would be a fool not to accompany you to the Prom."

Caesar shook his head while watering the new seedlngs, "Ah Mom, you don't understand--"

"Now you listen to me, mister. You will not let this sad loss mess up your chances to have a great prom. Everyone who is everyone will be there. You will escort Miss Seed. And you will look your best."

Caesar stared at the plant. He didn't even know what this was that was growing. But he knew his Mom was right in her own Diva-licious way.

He nodded. "Ok Mom."

She still wasn't convinced. "And on the way back home I want you to get your tux. And bring it home for me to see it."

"Aahh Mom! C'mon! A Tux?!"

"Go on now. I can do the rest. We're just about done anyway." She waved him away.

Caesar thumped back into the house, pulling his cell phone out his pocet. "Hello? Poppi..."

At the Art Museum...

"Hey" Caesar greeted Poppi with a hug. "I thought we were going to the movies."

Poppi said, "Don't worry. We still have plenty of time to make the movie. I wanted to show you my favorite place."

Caesar thought they were headed into the musaum but she pulled him past the doors into the gardens.

"Whoa." Caesar said in amazement, "I had haerd there were awesome gardens here."

Poppi turned to him. "I thought this would be a great place for you to get some artistic inspiration."

Caesar perked up... Actually nodded excitedly, "Yes I could setup right here in this spot. I would definitely look forwad to painting out here."

Poppi was so glad he liked it. "I know you're really down about Karmi and Turtie. I come here when I'm feeling blue."

"Thanks babe. This place is almost as beautiful as you."

Poppi blushed. Where did that line come from he wondered. He siezed the moment. "I have something I would like to ask you."

He took a deep breath. "Would you give me the honor of escorting you to the Prom?"

Poppi was beside herself. She thought maybe he wasn't going. It was coming up on Wednesday. Like three days from now. YYess YEss Oh YEEESSS I will go with you, she screamed in her head.

She took in a breath heself, "Oh I don't know." She smiled slyly, "It's a little short notice. I mean, what am I going to wear?"

Caesar raised an eybrow, "Really? I'm sure even a paper bag would look good on you."

They headed to the theater. Caesar was pretty proud of himself. Maybe Karmi left him a little luck behind after all.

After the movie...

Caesar rushed to get fitted for his Tux

"Um, excuse me? What century are we in?"

"I don't think so. This is prom. Not granny's birthday party"

"What am I? Scarface? Is this a mob party?!"

"Now that's what I'm talking about."

"Poppi will love it." He was so excited he didn't even wait to change back into his clothes. ( ;D)

On the way home he noticed a Chemistry set in the yard of one of the neighbors. It was dark and no one was around to see him casual stroll over onto their garage. He checked his watch.

"Humm. I still have a little over an hour."

He rubbed his hands together mischiefly and quickly got to work.

"I can't wait until I can get one of these on my own. I wonder what kinds of potions I can make... Love potion? Instant fame...?"

Then he heard the sound of his luck diminishing in his ears...

"Mom's going to kill me"

"HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND!?!?"

Malissa had steem coming out of her ears. Caesar couldn't tell if she was more upset about curfew or wearing the Tux.

"Mom I'm sorry I couldn't help it. It was just sitting there. Taunting me."

"What were you thinking? You could have RUINED your tux. Not to mention your reputation. What will people say when they hear you had a run in with the POLICE?!

"No one saw me, Mother. Okay, okay, you're right. I should have changed. But look at me. The tux is fine. I will look great for prom. I'll go change right now."

"Oh you will change and take that tux right back tomorrow. You aren't going anywhere. You are so grounded these horrid plants will have more freedom to leave than you"

Caesar froze, "WHAT?! Mom, PLEASE! Poppi said yes. It was perfect. Please please I will do anything. ANYTHING!"

"What if the neighbors saw you? We don't even know them yet! What a way to introduce ourselves!"

He couldn't believe his mother would do this. Prom! He would get down on his knees but he didn't want to ruin his tux. "Nobody saw me, I swear. C'mon Mom please!!"

Malissa had no intent on him missing prom. Especially with him having a date. And he did very well picking out his tux. He will make a great debut with a great girl at his side.

"It's late, Caesar. You have school tomorrow. It's been a hectic weekend for everyone. I hope you did your homework."

Caesar didn't want to push any further. "Yes Ma'am." He breathed in his loss and followed behind his mother.

He wispered low to himself he thought his mother wouldn't hear, "Poppi is gonna kill me."

Malissa smiled sinfully.

While Caesar and Poppi were wispering sweet nothings in each other's ears at the theater, Paparazzi found Malissa hanging out at the bistro in celebration of the Forum's 3rd birthday party. Check it out!

The Forum's 3rd Birthday Celebration

Who's watching Jazmyn you ask? Who else?

Looks like she's still trying to get in good with Jazmyn to get to Caesar.

When is Jazmyn going to get those blocks out and tell Erika that Caesar is spoken for?

Ha, I reckon Malissa can get Caesar to do a whole load of work around the house in order to get back in her good books - sneaky! Maybe he could paint the doors or mailbox, or do the dishes forever, or scrub toilets for a week, or replace the fencing.... That definitely sounds like something my mum would have done :D

Get over it Erika, Poppi's a sweetheart, and Caesar's too smart to dump a nice girl like her :P Hope Malissa had a good time at the party!

Funny you say that. I was leaning towards painting the house myself. And Jazmyn, like mom, seems to have schemes up her sleeve.  ;)

So if you have seen my posts on other threads I purchased Diesel Stuff and Sweet Treats this past weekend. I haven't played it yet because I'm attempting to hold out for my pre-order of Supernatural. So I thought I'd occupy the time getting all caught up before Malissa, Caesar and Jazmyn interact with the newcomers to Union Cove.

I was so caught up in Caesar's love life I forgot to share the recent remodeling. I mean what is this thread about anyway right?  :D

Ok Let's grab an old pic of the bedroom

Now lets look at it now...

And last but not least, the bathroom

Not only did we redecorate, we also did a little expanding

I thought I had a better pic of the whole house but seems that everyone is too upset with each other to take proper pics of the place.

Seems that though we have a more living space more pleasing to the eye, everyone is on edge and there's only two days till Prom!

Caesar followed Poppi out the theater.

She was furious and didn't talk to him at all after the movie. Why is she giving me the cold shoulder, Caesar thought to himself. I know the movie wasn't that great but geez.

"Poppi?"

"CAESAR HOW COULD YOU!?" Poppi screamed at him.

"Huh? Babe. Sweety. What I do?" Caesar reached for her.

Poppi pulled away in disgust. "Don't you DARE touch me! How could you? We were supposed to be the best couple at the prom! Me in the hottest dress with the hottest guy in class. But now you've ruined it!"

Caesar smirked, "You think I'm the hottest guy in class?"

Poppi gave him a look to kill

Caesar reached for her. "I'm sorry." He moved closer to her, "I'm so sorry. I didn't think." He moved in for a kiss.

"ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" Poppi looked at him shocked.

"Please Poppi," Caesar pleaded. "I promise I'll make it up to you."

"You can't make up the PROM!"

Caesar stood there defeated. "I know. I messed up. I promise, as soon as I get ungrounded -"

"I'm gong to prom with someone else, Caesar. "

Caesar stood speechless.

"We're done."

Caesar woke up in with a cold sweat, trying to catch his breath...

"Whoa... I've got to talk to mom."

Awww, Malissa won't let him miss his prom... and Poppi wouldn't be that fickle... He'll just have to do a bit of grovelling (and chores)!

"And she left me Mom! She left me. Went to the prom with SOMEONE ELSE! What am I going to do?! It has to be sign."

Malissa was eating her breakfast and was enjoying the entertaining dream her son was telling her about hysterically this morning.

“I got it. Why not instead of taking the bus today, you go into town and get her a nice teddy bear.”

“A TEDDY BEAR?!”

“I love teddy bears.”

“How about I buy you TWO teddy bears, Mom? One pink and one blue. Really fluffy ones.”

Malissa stared at him.

Caesar played with his food solemnly, “Mom she was really upset with me on the phone.”

“Don’t you think you should have thought of that before you decided to saunter over into our neighbors yard that we don’t even know? Do you know the things they are saying around town?”

Caesar already knew what they were saying. Word on the street was Caesar got angry with the cop and resisted arrest. He was becoming the coolest kid in school. But he didn’t want to tell his mother about his new popularity.

“She said in school yesterday that she found awesome dress. She hates me.”

“So... no teddy bear?”

“No teddy bears,” Caesar breathed.

Malissa contempated, “Well? What does she like?”

Caesar muttered under his breath, “She’d like to go to the prom.”

"Sweetheart," Malissa said inocently between bites, "I'm sure Miss Seed would not do something so drastic as leaving you."

"Mother," Caesar whined, "this is serious! What if my dream means something?"

“Or, you can sneek back over to the neighbor’s in the night again, only this time you can try to concoct a nice love potion.”

“Mom!”

“An amnesia serum?”

“Fine. Go ahead. Make fun of me.”

“Hey you’re the one all worked up over a silly dream.”

“It is NOT a silly dream.” Caesar pleaded “She was furious with me on the phone. I even promised her my first painting in the museum gardens.”

Malissa got up. “I have work to do dear.” She kissed Caesar on the forehead. “With your little excapade, the garden hasn’t been tcouched since Saturday.”

Caesar slumped in his chair as his mother took his plate from the table.

“Moooomm,” he whined, stomping on the floors.”

“I think you have someplace to be?” Malissa called back as she headed to the garden.

Caesar needed another tactic. He needed to appeal to her other side. He hopped up and ran outside. His mother looked at him startled.

“Ok mom,” he took in a dep breath. “I will do anything. I’ll do the gardening with you. The whole yard, even. I'll go apologize to the neighbeors."

Malissa stood, “You will huh? And give the Paparazzi a field day?”

“Mom PLEASE,” he begged, “Don’t take prom from me mom. My whole future can be dependent
on this one evening tomorrow. There has to be something else, anything that you can have me do. But I’ll die if you do this.”

“Alright, alright, calm DOWN. You are so taking the fun out of this.”

Caesar gave her his best I’m-sorry-I-love-you face

Malissa stared at him firmly. “I will let you go to to prom -”

“Thank You! Thank You!! Thank You!!!” he said excitedly.

Face turned stern, put up her hand,  “You will work around the house. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, trash. Change diapers.”

Caesar didn’t care what it was. Gardening. Dishes. Bathroom. Whatever.

“You will help me with the remodeling. ”

Caesar’s jaw dropped. “Huh?!”

Caesar should’ve known she’d find another way to torture him. “Ahh C’mon Mom! Seriously!”

“Bright and early Saturday morning. Take it or leave it, buster.”

Caesar lowered his head. “Yes ma’am.”

“Good.” Malissa went back to her cheerful self, “Now hurry up for school.”

Caesar kicked the grass and reached for his phone to call his prom date. He wondered if she was just taunting him all along.

Ha! Well, frankly I think Caesar should consider himself lucky - he's getting to go to the prom, in a gorgeous tux, with a gorgeous girl, and he only has to do the stuff that, let's face it, he'd probably have to do anyway  ;D

Ok guys I have terrible news. It seems that after installing Sweet Treats and Diesel SP my computer just turns off when I try to load a saved game. I haven't even opened and installed the new SN EP so I'm really sad about this.  :'(

I am afraid I am going to have to uninstall and re install. Of course I will do my best to save the Platnum Remedoling. But just in case I am posting the final chapter... Let's call it the end of the first saga if you will as I left a very subtle cliff hanger. I hope that I will be able to continue where I left off after I figure out what's going on with the game. I'm gong to search the forum to see if this has happened to anyone else.

I want to thank everyone for staying on board and being patient with me while following along with my first story ever. There aren't as many pictures in this wrap up but the screenshots awesome!

I hope you guys enjoy this last part of the story...

...PROM

The day has finally arrived!  ;D

Caesar thought this day would never come. Though it was only one day till the prom, he felt like it had been weeks. He could only go to school and come home yesterday. Do not pass GO, do not collect $200 dollars.

Caesar has been working harder than a maid, a cook, and a gardner all put together. Cooking and cleaning, washing clothes, taking out trash, handling diapers and feeding his baby sister. Though he may not have been having the best time, Jazmyn sure was enjoying his time with her big brother.

With every chore, he thought about how beautiful his Poppi will look on prom night. She wouldn’t tell him what kind of dress she got but he knows it’s going to knock his socks off.

“Oh Caesar I can’t believe we are going to the prom together?!” Poppi yelped when he came to school - with a teddy bear.

Caesar smiled and took in her embrace. He was so relieved. “Well I couldn’t have you going with some one else now could I?”

He thought about her confused face while he was putting clothes in the washer. He decided his dream was just what it was. Nothing more.

Malissa came out her bedroom ready for work and glanced Caesar loading the last of the clothes. “Did you finish your homework?”

“Yes Ma’am” Caesar said quietly.

“Good. Why don’t you get some sleep. You have a big nigh ahead of you.”

Caesar brightend. Only a little. “Are you letting me off punishment?”

“I didn’t say all that,” Malissa said. “We still have a house to paint, mister. What I am saying is that you need to rest up. So you won't be going to school today.”

Caesar nodded, “Ok, mom.”

Malissa hugged him and head out for work. Caesar finished up the clothes, texted Poppi and headed to bed.

When Caesar woke up he heard his mother coming in the house. What time was it?! He checked his phone and was distracted by all the missed calls and texts from his prom date. 'I stayed home too, what are you doing?', 'Hey I'm going to the salon', 'Where are you? I hope you're getting ready',

Caesar jumped at the knock on his door.

"Honey! Please tell me you're up. You have about two hours to ready?!"

"I'm up mom, thanks." Caesar said hurridly. He gathered his clothes and headed for the shower.

Malissa was fixing Jazmyn something to eat when Caesar got out the shower. "Poppi called she said she's on her way."

"Great. I guess I better get a move on, huh."

"Probably, I'm goin out to the garden. Limo will be here soon. I took your tux to the cleaners today."

Caesar kissed her on the cheek and than went to his room to get dressed.

Not too much later, Poppi was at the house. And also pulling up was the limo.

Caesar looked in the mirror. "You can do this," he said to his reflection. "You have gotten this far." He took a deep breath and turned towards the door. When Caesar came out of his room, he saw Poppi outside with Malissa next to the limo.

"Ok Caesar," he breathed, "move your feet. It's time."

Malissa was chatting with Poppi when he saw him come out the yard towards them. "Aww Honey you look absolutely stunning."

Caesar blushed. "Oh C'mon mom."

As he walked towards the limo, Poppi turned. Caesar's jaw dropped. He stared at her like he'd seen her for the very first time.

"Oh wow." Caesar cleared his thoat, "Babe, you look great."

"And don't look too bad yourself." Poppi reached up and kissed Caesar on the cheek.

Casear gestered to the limo door. "Shall we, My Lady?" he said playfully.

Malissa watched them pull off in the limo.

If only she could see the faces when they see them come through the door. He had been through so much these last few months. Arriving at this place in the middle of the school year was definately hard on him. And there were times she was afraid that she moved to fast. But now she saw how happy he was with his prom date, his girlfriend. Things were definately lookin up. She hoped he realized that at well.

"Poppi you look... amazing." Caesar said. "I thank you so much for choosing to go to the prom with me."

Poppi was staring out the window. She was so happy she couldn't keep up her frustration with Caesar for almost ruining everything by getting grounded. She was yanked out of her train of thought when she heard him speaking to her.

"What do you mean?" she questioned. "Who else would I go with?"

"I'm sure there's a whole line of dissapointed guys in our class who wish they as lucky as me to escort you to the prom."

Poppi just melted. "Caesar, there's no one I would want to accompany me."

Caesar smiled to himself. He watched as they pulled up to the school.

He was so sure he was going to have a horrid school year with his mother starting him mid-year. He thought he was going to be the New Kid all year. But now things are just wonderful. He couldn't have been happier at this moment if he planned it.

Caesar took a deep, loud, breath when the Limo stopped. "Ok beautiful, Let's do this thing."

He took her hand and they walked into the best night of their lives.

(in the rabbit hole)

Caesar and Poppi danced the night away...

Poppi distracted Caesar and leaned in for their first kiss...

Caesar and Poppi were really hitting it off. Caesar asked Poppi to go steady. And she said YES!..

Caesar and Poppi were the best looking couple of the prom...

But unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. Caesar and Poppi walked out hand in hand. She looked at him lovingly and kissed him on the cheek.

"I had a wonderful time," Caesar said.

Poppi leaned on his shoulder, "So did I. Thanks for taking me."

He wished so much that he could take her home but he knew he didn't want to press his luck with the Fairy God Mom. He walked Poppi to her cab and kissed her goodbye. He needed to be home by curfew or his cabby may turn into a pumpkin.

"I promise I'll call you when I get home." Caesar said reluctantly

Poppi blew a kiss through the window. And off she went.

Poppi was still floating on cloud nine even though she was so tired and so hungry. She made a mental note to discuss with the prom committee about having refreshments. She could not believe she had the courage to throw in a kiss like that. But it paid off tremendously. She was going steady. She couldn't wait to go home and change her blog status.

Caesar watched his lady disappear down the road and his cab arrive shortly after.

He was having such a wonderful time with Poppi that he didn't realize how hungry he was. I wonder if Poppi was feeling like she was floating on air. He knew he sure was. He couldn't believe that she just distracted him and thew in a kiss like she did. He was so excited. He couldn't wait to tell his mom about his evening.

This was the best night of his life. He didn't know what this year would have been like if he didn't get the privileged of helping Poppi with her Chemistry paper.

He looked out the window and sighed. "Thanks Karmi."

To bad about your game starting to cat up.

I have really enjoyed the story - the idea of fixing up houses is a great one. Maybe it'll come back again.

Best of luck with your old save file.

Aww, PlatnumDymnd - really sorry to hear about your game acting up, that's SO annoying.

Still, this was a great story, and a satisfying ending. Hopefully you'll post some more of your stories on here some time! V happy for Caesar that he finally managed to go to prom and start going steady with the lovely Poppi! The photos were gorgeous as well :)
