Tags in China disappeared

After installing a patch for the game, I travelled to China. All the tags are gone, including ones for adventures. Have I done something to make that happen?

I doubt it was anything you did. Have you tried closing the game and restarting?

In addition to what Pam said, the new tags are gold stars instead of what we were used to seeing before Ambitions/new patch.

I  did see see the gold stars but  those,  all the the others tags, and  special merchant, disappeared in China.  When I returned home all was normal. I'll see on my next adventure if it's cleared up.

This happened to me last night.   In Twinbrook all the tabs except "home" vanished.  I went to Town Edit and back but they stayed.  I saved and went to the Main Menu.  When I reloaded the tabs came back.  Then it happened again.  I finally figured out there's a "filter" tab next to the sim's head in the control panel.  It allows you to filter out various map tabs.  I figure I accidentally hit the filter tab.

I finally saw that too, I guess people are not use to seeing it there, so the first time my tags were not there, I happened to see that filter too and changed it.

I also have no Map Tags in Riverview-They work fine in Sunset Valley and Twinbrooks.
Riverview always had them but since the patch and Ambitions they are gone. Filters are set to all. They came back for
a little while after I returned from China to Riverview but disappeared again.  I have shut down and restarted
numerous times. I also have No Custom Contents or Mods installed.

In mine, when they are gone, I have to keep setting the filter to "all", I do not know why it does not stay on, but, as long as I know I can change it when I go into map view, that is fine.  So, I am not sure if that is the problem with everyone elses or not.

For everyone who still has trouble with this, check the button at the bottom of the screen the left of your Sim's head and make sure it's set to "All" to see all of the tags.  Check it every time the tags are missing.

Yes I do make sure to check the "All" and it is set to it.  I tried them all and still no Map Tags only in Riverview.
No problem though with Sunset Valley or TwinBrooks

You could try reinstalling Riverview.  Just go to the "Installed Content" button in the launcher and delete Riverview, then download it again from the Sims 3 store.  That's the only thing I can think of at the moment.
