I won't have the game until the middle of next week, so I've been reading Carl's guides to the new careers with much interest.  Thanks for putting them out so quickly :)

My current preferred neighbourhood is a downloaded one, with an empty graveyard - although since I haven't played Twinbrook yet, I may find my preferred neighbourhood changing next week.

I wanted to know if any of the ghosts collected by a ghosthunter can be used to populate a graveyard.

Most of my playable sims die of old age, and I'm reluctant to kill off sims who could be potential mates for my playables, so my graveyards tend to be full of boring died-of-old-age ghosts.  It would be nice if some of these new ghosts could be used to fill up my graveyards to add some colour.

I don't know how but there may be a way through buydebug, there are grave stones there but am not sure if they spawn a Ghost.  ???

Those would be "Remains". All they're used for is decorating your tomb and making it look more dramatic and deadly.

The early stage ones (non-human looking) are more like insects: you can catch them, display them in your home, sell them to the Science facility, or release them, but when you release them, they go *poof*.  Not sure on the later level ones.

I have a question.  When you get to the regular looking ghosts and they get them in the machine, where do those ghosts go? They don't go in the inventory like the other ones do?  I got three of them and they are nowhere to be found.

The regular ghosts are banished and can't be collected, so it's not like we're storing Sims' souls.. Spirits are a bit different from ghosts I reckon.

Then how do you get credit for the spirits if they are not in the inventory and if I do not get credit for them, isn't that a waste of time and purpose for making money? Maybe I am not understanding something or I have missed something somewhere.  All I know, I spent a whole night scanning for ghosts, finally found them and then they were no where.

Looks like the only way to populate a Graveyard is through Murderous ways... Or you could save Riverview or Sunset Valleys Graveyard to the Library and Edit that lot when it's placed on a new lot?

I'm sorry for "reviving" this thread, but I just discovered something that I did not find posted and that may be useful.

With Ambitions and World Adventures it is possible to populate graveyards without killing Sims! You have to join the Ghost Hunter career and collect spirits. Once you have 8 spirits of the same type/color, place them in the Carter's Display Case (the expensive one) and then transfigurate. It will spawn an urn. The urn's ghost will be elder and his/her traits are determined by the type of ghost, for example: Angry spirits can become Mean Spirited, Evil, Grumpy ghosts while Kind spirits can become Good, Family-Oriented, Friendly ghosts. Lost and Scared spirits can become Neurotic and Light Sleepers. You can easily move the urn to the graveyard.

Welcome to the forum simsmx!  We have quite a few members that love to use Transfiguration process on plenty of other things, wonder how many will try this?  It sounds very promising, so thanks for the information.

Wow, neat simsmx! I love the way they're making the expansions work together like this. One more interesting thing to do.

Sorry for the double post but I got some more news on the lesser spirit combination. When I merged a Kind, Young spirit I got a sim that died from old age. I said to myself "Well that doesn't make any sense, wonder if other people will have that same reaction." I am still testing the ghost transfiguration and will tell you more soon!

If you got a message that said "An Urn! Finally all those sprits might be a rest" or something to that extent then you succeded. Sometimes it will be under existing windows near the left. Also you have to have exactly the same spirits. I think you put a kind old spirit with a bunch of kind young spirits (Or another comination, all 8 ghosts must the same type).
