Sim or pet death on lot (Not controlled by you)
« on: July 01, 2012, 02:36:22 PM »
What sims or pets that you don't control have died on your lot before?  I know that vampires are practically cursed to die on the lot of the Dreamweavers.  And once I had a random stray dog die on my lot when my sim was sleeping so disrupted her sleeping scedule. >:(  But, is it just me, or does it seem like pets get treated better than sims when they die?  Anyways, what sim deaths have you had on your lot before?  I find deaths of sims on your sims lot a little bit creepy.

Paparazzi tend to die on my dynasty lot. I guess it is because they are there all the time.

Vampire Arlo Bunch died on my DecaDynasty lot recently. I'd never seen a vampire death before, it was quite dramatic. Other than that it's been mostly paparazzi deaths.

My Sim's vampire fiance starved the day before their wedding. Fist time I've had a uncontrolled Sim die, but it was heartwrenching.  :'(

I haven't had any sim deaths yet, but that's probably because I'm always really careful and  always turn off story progression and aging because if they're on, i feel under pressure and i'm scared of what will happen if all my sims die :(. So no sim deaths yet. Am i missing out?

In addition to vampires, I've had paparazzi die.  And many times, it's just various townies, usually while attending a party.  I haven't had a stray die on my lot yet, but I do think Grim is kinder toward the pets than he is toward the Sims.  He's got a soft spot for the animals.

As I mentioned in another thread, a repairman I hired died of electrocution. It was possibly the most unsettling death in the game for me, save for the first time I saw a sim die in TS1.

I had a vampire die on my lot when my Sims where having their wedding party, she was one of the guests. It was OK though my female Sim brought her back to life as she got the Oh My Ghost opp, and she can still resurrect Sims.
We are of peace, always but this is war.
We are of peace, always.
We'll help build a resistance. We have to fight.

When all you've ever loved has been stolen from you, sometimes all you have left is revenge.
For the truly wronged, satisfaction can be found in one of two places,  absolute forgiveness or mortal vindication. This is not a story about forgiveness. When deception cuts this deep, someone has to pay.

Did the vampire come back as a vampire or as a regular Sim?

I never had a sim die on my lot.  Although that is probably because I almost never throw parties or invite people over.
My Builds
Sweetwater Cafe and Nectary
Growing Family Home
Sunset Valley Fire Department
Savey Simoleon Mall
I welcome suggestions and constructive criticism about any of my builds on their threads.

In my current legacy, I've had a paparazzi and a cat die on my lot. Since the family has a resurrected ghost dog I kept the cats grave to see if I can get the ghost pets to interact. The paparazzis grave is in the family inventory as a memento :P

Vampires are always dying at my sim's parties, because they arrive starving to death. Had 2 die in one party. The repairman electrocuted himself, my sim caught fire from the birthday cake while holding the baby and took so long to put the baby down, she didn't make it to the bathroom in time to extinguish herself.

I once held a funeral for one of my elder sims. She had loads of friends who were all elder like her. At the party 3 or 4 of them died. It was pretty sad. It also made me reluctant to host a party with only elder guests.

Otherwise I've had vampires, stray animals and paparazzi die.

Hey, it wasn't actually my lot but Matthew Hamming in my DecaDynasty casually went round to woo his lady, and the vamp she lives with died of starvation! He had the unlucky trait, though, so Grim let him off. He came back still in vamp form and strolled around the house like this was just a natural occurrence, it was rather funny. :P
