I'd say that it's Create A Style-ing. I make whole rooms just, hug themselves with the main colors and the highlights, and that color I only use once on the rug in center so that it looks like the whole room is just putting itself together. :)

I really like placing furniture, and laying out traditional-style houses, but I'm not very good with patterns/colours... I do enjoy landscaping. I love building pubs/bars, although for some reason have a problem with exteriors of dance clubs :/

I seem to have a passion for building classic suburban homes, something my favorite world (Sunset Valley) is sorely lacking. All the homes there seem tohave this weird Brady quality to them.

I seriously considering trying to create a replica of Sunset Valley in CAW but replacing all the homes with homes I built. It's too bad we can't just export the Sunset Valley world and edit it in Caw. That would make my task so much easier. I like the world, just not the homes.

I totally suck at landscaping but I try my best because I just can.t stand the empty yard look.

EDIT: Here are some screen shots that are a good example of what I'm talking about.

And the interiors from the top down...

You'll notice I like a lot of stained wood furnature and trim. I never cared for the modern chrome and glass look. I'd feel like I was living in a house of mirrors.

and here's the empty basement below in case 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms arent enough you could always finish the basement.

I am really good at building a house in the first generation and forgetting to redecorate or change anything for eight generations(hey it saves them money  ;) )
I enjoy decorating my Sims houses but when I play a generational game once it is done that is it I wouldn't ever think of re-colouring a room for another generation.Alright I might think about it but I wouldn't do it.

I guess my specialty would be Landscaping. It's the one thing I never have much trouble doing, I don't get Builders Block on it or anything. Whereas I do on Exteriors and definitely on Interiors. To me a House needs landscaping outside because otherwise I find it feels off to me, especially if it's a large lot. My Dynasty is killing me slowly because I have to resist the urge to landscape the other 80% of the 64x64 Lot...  :P

My favourite things to build are bar/club conversions of EA lots, or other EP lots that fit into the pre-existing town. I can't say I have an actual specialty anymore though, the Building Contests have really expanded my horizons.  :)

I like to hear that, Lol.  ;)

I'm really good at landscaping, but that's because Tom taught me how!

My specialty is remodeling pretty much anything.  I like my houses to be traditional and cozy/homey with lots of "stuff".

I particularly like to envisage the style of house to which I'd like to become accustomed to in rl but never will have the funds for.  A lot of those over the top mansions in UC are my build so you know what I mean, (Carl's Castle, Exclusive Lounge and that huge, white monstrostity with all the walkways and parapets!).

I can pretty much landscape anything and right now am learning how to do more with less, (as in fewer choices for plants), in Lucky Palms.  It's a real challenge for me because I go for fluffy and cheap, lots of hydrangeas and azaleas!  Can't use those in the desert!

I totally SUCK at modern and struggle with building the outside of the building.  Give me something already started and I can change it into something pretty, like this:

I remodeled all these houses in SV except the Sekemoto house to the right bottom.

The Alvi house was the biggest challenge.

There is actually a Sunset Valley lite in CAW - the world, without any lots in it. You'd have to replace all the community lots as well, though.

Oh sweet! I had no idea. Thanks for the heads up. That'll be a huge help.

Not sure if they are in the Swap Shop but they are in My Studio in the official forum.  Not sure I uploaded the Alvi one yet.  That one took the longest time for me but I really enjoyed doing it.  My most fun one was Mosquito Cove.  It was also the first one I ever did.

Here's the link for the Blue Traditional.

I remember reading or watching an EA staffie talk about building a house and they said that on multiple locations they were trying to build a starter home but they ended up getting carried away and built a mansion on that tiny plot instead.

LOL!  Like my 99thousand house built on a 10x10 lot.  It's one of the things that causes me great grief when doing a contest!  I hate being limited in what I can spend almost as much as I hate not being able to use store items!

I'm not the best builder but I'm learning and experimenting thanks to some great tutorials on this forum! But when I build, due to my strange fascination with the 50's, I'm great at mid century modern houses - its a great era for ranges in colour and getting crazy with interiors. I love the houses too :) But I won't lie I do tend to build off house designs (I collect as a hobby *sheepish smile*) and then have have with colour palettes.
