Chapter 1: The Founders

Every town in Sims 3 comes with a variety of sims, but Appaloosa Plains is the only one with a bombard of pets as well. So what place would be better to start a DecaDynasty, nowhere! But the hard part is, who to choose? A good group of founders includes someone who is an nearly an adult or older and someone who can be used to make money and care for the first heir.

Gogo: The Bird Sisters are the perfect pair to start with. Alouette Bird (orange haired girl) is a Level 6 painting and will be providing the tombstone and the collection. Oriole Bird (blonde haired girl) is our founder and a criminal.
Oriole: So you are?
Gogo: I am Gogo. Your watcher. Without me, you are all useless.
Alouette: We’ve been fine for the last 30 odd years without you.
Gogo: Well just look at you. Go head to the mirror and the dressers while I introduce, the cat.

Gogo: This is Minette. The pets of Appaloosa are to safeguard the members of the household. Families without a pet usually get robbed very often.
Minette: So that’s why these guys still have all their possessions? Either that or because Oriole works on the inside.

Gogo: You guys actually clean up nicely.
Alouette: Thanks, I think.

Alouette: So are you saying that while Oriole lives the life of being a criminal, having a family and make lots of friends, while I will pretty much paint or write all die long and until I die making as much lifetime happiness points as possible?
Gogo. Pretty much. You might adopt along the way and you’ll probably have to befriend the cat so it doesn’t get taken away by the mean social workers.
Alouette: And Oriole thinks I got the good end of the stick.

Oriole: Hi there, I am Oriole Bird. I was wondering if you’d like to found a DecaDynasty with me.
Kenji: Umm hi there. I think I need to go to something over there.
Gogo: Bonbon Park doesn’t look half bad. I think I like the candy stuff.

Gogo: Come on Minette! Get that turtle!
Minette: It’s harder than it looks.
Gogo: Oh, it got away. I think this calls for you sleeping outside tonight.
Minette: Nooo!

Oriole: So wanna go out sometime?
Kenji: Yeah sure.
Gogo: Aww I missed your first kiss.
Oriole: Should’ve skipped watching the cat.

Oriole: I know we just met and all, but I know that you really want to be the founder of my DecaDynasty.
Kenji: Yeah sure. If you want.
Gogo: Kenji sounds  really excited right?

Gogo: Now hurry up and get home so I can tick a few things off my chart.

Gogo: I can only hope chimes were heard.
Alouette: I think I heard something. Might’ve been Minette though.

Gogo: Hi Kenji, I am your watcher. I will tell you what to do. Now that you look good, you will improve some skills to then improve your career.
Kenji: So you’re a watcher? Gogo right? I’ve heard all about you in ‘Sim Superstitions-Volume 34: Are we being controlled?’
Gogo: Smart man you are.

Gogo: There was a useless chess table so I sold it and made a little cat area. Do you like it?
Minette: You’re the best thing that’s happened to this house.

Oriole: I knew Alouette shouldn’t have cooked!
Gogo: You can keep thinking that’s why you’re sick.

Oriole: So that’s why I was sick!
Gogo: Yeah. Better go buy some baby stuff.
Oriole: We have no where to put it though.
Gogo: I’ll find space. You go tell Kenji and Alouette.

Gogo: Wasn’t Oriole meant to be reading with you?
Kenji: Yeah but she’s over there reading ‘How to Prepare your Child to Become a Criminal’. I couldn’t stand her constant mutterings.
Gogo: She’ll be hurt when she learns what her child will be doing.

Gogo: I can’t believe it’s already your Adult Birthday Alouette.
Alouette: And I can’t believe Oriole isn’t here. And that someone is screaming.
Gogo: I’ll tell you later.

Alouette: I’m looking pretty good.
Kenji: Can I have cake now?

Oriole: Gogo! Get Kenji and Alouette!
Gogo: Sorry, but they are enjoying cake.
Oriole: Do you really think I care about them enjoying cake!?
Gogo: Yes. They probably don’t care about you having a baby.
Oriole: Just go.

Alouette: Thought I’d mention someone broke the toilet. And since it’s a part of your career...
Kenji: I’ll fix it now. We should end the update now. Fixing a toilet won’t get any more reads.
Gogo: Yeah but...
Kenji: I agreed to be a founder in this whole thing if I could decide when an update would end.
Gogo: I know but...
Kenji: Alouette, would you help me pack my bags? And besides, we are at the photo limit!
Gogo: Fine.

Thanks Fez! I think you mean Appaloosa Plains, not Riverview. I always thought the Birds were really ugly but after getting into their house and giving them new looks they actually looked good. Their house is also very useful. Large lot and I just built the third floor.

Oriole: It’s a boy! And neither Kenji and Alouette are here.
Gogo: Yeah Alouette is still eating her cake and Kenji is fixing the toilet.
Oriole: He can’t be. I would have seen him walk through here.
Kenji: I finally finished my cake. Time to fix the toilet. Hey look Oriole! You have a baby! Whose is it?
Oriole: Ours.
Gogo: That’s what I was trying to tell you.
Kenji: I say name him Hayley.
Gogo: Hayley is a girl’s name so let’s settle on Hayden, who is Neurotic and Artistic.

Alouette: Who’s my favourite nephew? You are!
Hayden: *giggles*
Gogo: Let me guess, you felt bad for missing his birth?
Alouette: Yeah. I’ll get back to painting now.
Gogo: Wait. I have something for you.

Alouette: Thanks!
Gogo: You’re having a midlife crisis so this was what you needed for extra points, right?
Alouette: No comment.

Gogo: Do you like doing this all day, then rushing off to work.
Oriole: Yes. I am becoming closer to maxing Athletics every day.
Gogo: Good. Sorry to break it to you but I think I might have to build you an outhouse. You smell.
Oriole: I know. It’s called sweat. Hopefully when Hayden joins the Criminal Career he will not have to do this so intensely in his later career levels.
Gogo: I hope he doesn’t become a criminal.

Gogo: How’s the book going?
Alouette: Good. Written 5 words so far. The title.
Gogo: I’ll leave you to it.

Oriole: Who wants this biscuit?
Minette: Me me!
*Chomps biscuit*  Oriole: Sorry, there are none left!
Minette: You really are evil.
Gogo: That’s why she’s a criminal.

Minette: Life is easy. Being the protector of these guys is easy.
Gogo: Hey! Get back to chasing those animals! Don’t come back until you’ve got a few!
Minette: Other than the back in the neck watcher, life is easy.

Gogo: It’s already time for our violet boy to age up.
Oriole: Yeah. I better go buy the ‘Tips to make you child a Criminal’ series.
Gogo: I think you should let Kenji. *whispers to Kenji* She’s doing that thing again.

Kenji: Ahh! He’s hideous.
Alouette: He’s your son.
Gogo: And he’s bald! Run to dresser little man, run!

Gogo: Much, much better. You actually have hair.
Hayden: Hiya Gogo.
Gogo: Hey Hayden. Now who is going to be a good boy to learn to walk really quick?!
Hayden: Not me!

Kenji: Come here Hayden! I know you want too!

Kenji: I have a present for you if you do!

Gogo: How does this work?
Kenji: I don’t even know. At least it will never burn down the house.

Welcome, Hayden! He looks a lot like his dad, I think. Something I've always wondered about is how sims make everything fireproof with just a hammer.
