Just something I have noticed
« on: June 22, 2012, 01:30:20 PM »
I hope I have placed this right..

There are so many packs of stuff I could not possibly keep track..
Not picking on anyone..

Just saying .. Post like this

WA, Amb, Gen, Pets, LN, Showtime, OLS, TLS, HELS

I think it says :
World Adventures, Ambitions, Generations , Pets, Late Night , Showtime..

Beyond that I have no clue.. Maybe a set of abbreviations for each one or a list would be grand -s-
"Courage looks you straight in the eye. She is not impressed with power trippers, and she knows first aid. Courage is not afraid to weep, and she is not afraid to pray, even when she is not sure who she is praying to. When she walks it is clear she has made the journey from loneliness to solitude. The people who told me she was stern were not lying. they just forgot to mention she was kind."

In this section of the forum (General Discussion), there is actually a thread with Acronyms including the ones for the EPs & SPs (Expansion Packs and Stuff Packs).  Here is the link.

The new ones that may not be listed are MSS - Master Suite Stuff and KPST - Katy Perry Sweet Treats.

Good question, SpiritedTreasure.  We do have a thread listing common acronyms that I think has those ones:  http://www.carls-sims-3-guide.com/forum/index.php/topic,6425.0.html

Off the top of my head:  OLS = Outdoor Living Stuff; TLS = Town Life Stuff; HELS = High End Loft Stuff.

Edit:  Rica, you beat me to it!  :)

I actually never seem to get those things you write in your posts, like "-s-" and "-vbs-". OLS etc are well-known simming terms but I don't understand those things you use at all. :-\

-s- is smile
-vbs- is very big smile
-g- is grin

I suppose it comes from chatting a lot. Those are pretty commonly used when chatting. Most will put them like this instead *s*

This is actually something we don't allow on the Forum.  It falls under textspeak and web acronyms in rule number 2 of the Forum Rules (link is in my signature below.)  You can use the smileys to express the same thing.  Just be sure to use them in moderation.
