Hidden Springs now available on disc

Not sure if this is news to everyone, it was news to me. A week or so ago (just before sweet treats was released), the fellow at my local EB asked if I was going to buy Sweet Treats (he knows that I'm a mad simmer  :D ) I told him no because I was going to wait for it to come down in price. Then he said that he also had notification of another new Sims 3 item coming. He didn't have any details except that it was listed on the computer as H.Springs. So I told him the details of it and that I already had it. So today, I was in JB HiFi and there on the shelf was Hidden Springs on a disc! EB haven't got any copies yet, but it probably won't be long. They might have even had them, but just not unpacked them yet. Now That I'm home, I realize that I should have looked at the price to see if it was comparable to what we paid at the store doh!  ::)

I think it's better value at the Store... I googled the conversion from what I saw on the weekend to US Dollars - it's nearly twice the price!

I bought what I thought was a disc of hidden springs online , when it arrived what I discovered was an empty box with just a leaflet that had a code on it and explaining I had to download Hidden Springs from the store

It did say on the front of the box that theres no disc inside but I couldnt see that on the picture and nowhere did it mention it was a download and you were only buying a code

Oh really, when was that simmese? I'll have to check tomorrow if the one in JB is the same or if it has now been put on disc.

Hidden Springs is the same as Barnacle Bay.   When you buy it at the physical store, you're buying a code to download it from the digital store.  It actually made a lot of people mad when they did this with BB.   I can still remember seeing all the uproar.

Went into JB again this morning and had a good look at the Hidden Springs case. It is only a code that you pay for. Thing is the statement about it not containing an actual disc was quite small and I really only found it because I was looking for it. I'd be very annoyed if I bought it only to find it was just a code!

I got a disc, I bought it at Walmart. I couldn't use it because my CD/DVD player was broken but I called EA and they just told me to put in the code in the case. I have Hidden Springs, but the store page for it says I need to buy it oddly.
