New World Coming to the Store - Lucky Palms (Residents List Available)

Worlds don't come with patches so it's usually rare for a Mod to not interact well I would think since most problems for mods involves the game being updated.

I still haven't had a lot of time to play the new town but I did enjoy just going from house to house to read everyone's bio and house description.  I love the lake front properties that have lost the lake.  I don't know why I find it funny.

I have a ton of mods, and I had no issue playing. Using NRaas mod MC, I gave my sim the hidden trait of gambler. He cleaned house. But, I didn't have him play too long because I was checking the rest of the town, so I'm curious if counting cards can get you banned from the casino? Need to static his needs and see.

The wishing well: He wished for love and got a good looking female sim. However, with my mods, he asked her attraction to him and it was 2 out of 4. Then he checked his attraction to her, and it was 1 out 10. So, she wasn't what he really wanted.

I'll play a little more and see. Unfortunately, the town is devoid of other venues, like dance clubs, bars, etc. And in some "golf area" lots, when you place a house, it eats up the sand trap (poor design). If you want houses around a golf site (even if imaginary), you don't put lots on top of the sand traps.

We'll see, There are great prospects for my sim in "The family" career. He'll buy everything and rule the town.

So far I'm really liking this town. It's playing smoother for me than any other town. Even better than Sunset Valley.
And between all the empty lots and good places to place lots with the World Editor I had no problem placing  lots for Showtime, Late Night, Pets and Ambitions.

I'm bad at Lot placement XD, but I wanna use this town for my Dynasty (based on the cards of a taroh Deck no less, with a story centered around the fountain.) so hopefully I can get all the lots placed (Casino, one of each club type, the pet lots, and at least one of each showtime venue, a fire station, salon/tattoo parlor, and a consignment store) so, here is hoping! And I already know who my founder is going to hunt down and marry XD

Just remember the wishing well and fountain are both banned for usage in dynasties.  I've had no problems with lot placement so far.  My only beef is that some of the lots really don't fit but you can always buy half of them and remodel them if you really wanted I guess.

Are there any celebrities in this world? In particular, a 5 star celebrity? I haven't played in Starlight Shores yet, but upon looking at all the residents standing outside their houses at the very start of the game, it appears that there are no celebrities in that world. Hidden Springs and Lunar Lakes have celebrites though, so I hope this one does too.

I've seen one celebrity and she was only one star. One of the King family. There could be more but I haven't had the time to really look around all that much yet.

When I was going from house to house, some of the stars hadn't autopopulated so there was no 100% way to know who was going to be one.   I know the Kings have stars and I think the Tanners do, too.   I'll remind myself in the morning to actually pull up the town instead of my dynasty and check to see who else I find with stars.

I also purchased the gold edition- my game says that both Lucky Palms and the Casino are installed, but the casino does not show up when I play the town.  When I try to edit town, it does not show up as a lot that I can place.  Any ideas where it could be?

anyone know where the special seed spawners are in this town? I wanna get a head start on making ambrosia before my chosen chef dies...

and, I haven't used the well in my dynasty so far. I made a save file where I did use the well so I could get pics, but started over for the actual dynasty XD

I have to go away for 2 days for my Pop's funeral, but I'll be back Thursday evening and can put it in CAW then to find out and post the locations Thursday night/Friday morning, if someone doesn't beat me to it in the meantime.

I don't have the game open right now, but I found a bunch this way:
with the dried lakebed at the top, there are special seeds:
- behind the military base
- to the left of the dried lake bed as the hills rise
- south of the highway
- in the middle of the windmills

I found at least 10 different spawn sites, so there is no shortage of special seeds in LP.

We purchased the standard edition. It has a spot for the casino. But does not have it installed or placed. So it might be the same for the gold edition.

I'm gathering regardless of which edition you purchase, you might need to two things. 1.) Look at your purchase history to see if the casino is a seperate download. 2.) Check the community tab under edit town to see if the casino shows up there and place it.

In our game, we had to find the casino and place it on a community lot ourselves.

I have the same problem. The Casino is not in my community lots library in edit town, and nor is it in my purchase history. I just made my own little pathetic casino with the slot machines and blackjack table.
