Roadblock in Tuatha's Garden

I've explored most of it, but I'm at an impasse towards the end. There is a place where there is a stand on pad. in a 1x1 room with a narrow corridor leading to it. There's an open door into the corridor, but my guys won't cross it. If I mouseover the threshold, it gives me a no  entry sign.

Is there a way around this I'm missing? I've done this before, but it's been a long time. Not a game breaker, but it's just annoying at this point.

I ran into this problem recently, and the only solution I found was to zeneport (or teleport) past that and walk back to the foot pad.  My Sim was able to do that, but couldn't go through the doorway.
