Sim Can't Fish for Angelfish

In my Dynasty, Simis is my fisherman. He's been catching Angelfish for bait, but suddenly cannot. He can fish in other spots, and my other fisherman can fish in that angelfish spot, but Simis can't. Is there anything I can do?

It's a long time since I had that problem, and at that time it was related to my fisherman having special seeds in his inventory.  I would have thought that might have been fixed by now, but if it's working for other Sims in your game, have you checked the inventory?

I don't believe Simis has seeds, but it's worth checking. I'll see if that helps. I kinda want to start playing my Dynasty again.

Unfortunately, Simis did not have any seeds in his inventory, so that's not the issue.

Oh oh, not this dreaded fishing glitch! I've yet to see if I have any fishing glitches.. You're completely patched up, right?

There are about four or five spots that he can fish for angelfish so if it's only the one then it's probably not that big of a deal.  Have you reset him recently?

No, I haven't. Ill try that, then I'll try another spot if that doesn't work.

Another couple of ideas - has this problem just appeared, and if so, have you tried shutting down the game and restarting it?  It's amazing how often that fixes glitches for me (fortunately).  Also, if he doesn't have seeds in his inventory, is there anything else in his inventory that could be causing this?  I don't know what that might be, but if he has anything at all other than the fish he needs for bait, I'd take it all out and see if that makes any difference.  Did Simis or anyone else in your Dynasty go travelling recently?  Just remembering all the nasty travel bugs I've encountered ... (and hoping that's not the case for you).

Unfortunately, restarting the game didn't help. The only thing he has in his inventory is his cane and his diploma. The cane might be the problem, because he never had a problem as an Adult. No travelling, since Karate is still a kid.
