The Finale: Part Three
(Just a note. Despite its appearance, this is
not the last chapter in the Mole. There is an epilogue that will be posted later today.)
A: Sorry about that. My hair always gets so tangled when I'm excited.
(silence)
A: I'm sure some of you have the same problem. Nick, your hair looks rather tangled right now.
(silence)
A: Okay, I get it, you want to know who the Mole is. Very well.
A: This is how this is going to work. First I'm announcing the
winner. This contestant is rather interesting, in that they spotted out the Mole
very quickly and stuck with it. Who is this lucky contestant? Come on down! Let us see who has won the Mole!!!
A: The winner is....
A: Jordan Silvergreen!!!
Martin: Heh. I could've beaten him.
Sstarr: Woo! Go Jordan!
A: Now Jordan, as the winner of the Mole, you get the points earned in the pot by the contestants. Just be sure to contact the administration (*Audren wave*) to receive your winnings.
Jordan: Thank you, A. It's been a lot of fun being here, and I'm glad that I've won!
A: We'll talk about your strategy in a moment, but first we have another announcement.
A: Four months, Five Challenges, and many executions have brought us to this moment. It is time, once and for all, to know....
A:
Who is the Mole? Of course, Jordan already knows, but come on down and show the rest of us!
A: The Mole, who has outsmarted nearly all of you, the one who has been behind the scenes for this entire contest, is.....
A: Bo Bruce!
Bo: It's not a surprise to Jordan, he's known for a while.
A: Indeed, though it may be surprising to the rest of us. Like Jordan, you have won something. As the Mole, you get the points the contestants did
not earn. The administration (*Me again*) will contact you so you may collect your winnings. Now, let us all have a seat.
Sstarr: Hang on, I think I picked Bo for the
first quiz!
A: Indeed you did, Sstarr. Besides Jordan, you were the only one who ever guessed Bo. Unfortunately, you changed your pick, and it got you eliminated.
A: The early frontrunner of suspicion was Martin, probably because he took the Exemption in the first challenge.
Martin: Which I was entirely justified to do.
A: Yes. If Martin hadn't had that run in with aliens, I think this could've gone very differently.
A: Of course, once Martin was abducted, most of those left turned to Jordan himself as their suspect. Tell us Jordan, what was your strategy?
Jordan: Well, Bo not taking the exemption in the Second Challenge struck me as odd. Is she simply not as greedy as our good friend Martin?
Martin: Hey!
Jordan: Or... is she trying to
look like it? So I chose Bo for that Execution Quiz. When I was grouped with her, I didn't see any reason to switch, so I went with Bo again. I kept picking Bo, and I kept staying. The farther we got, the more I knew I was right.
A: That's a very sound strategy, Jordan, and it obviously worked. Now, I believe there is only one matter of business left. Jordan, Bo, please come outside.
