The Third Challenge: Part 3
Bo: What was that! What'd they do to him!
Jordan: Relax, Bo. We need to focus on the challenge. We'll tell A. about it when we tell him our answers.
Bo: Now, what's this city lady stuff?
Jordan: Oh, that's the easiest one we got! The answer is obviously
Metropolis Man.(-Bolded words are the answers provided by the contestants: Audren) Jordan: What about Clark Parent?
Bo: Could be an anagram, I guess. But of what?
Jordan: An anagram? Yes, I know!
Central Park!Jordan: And the Ashram? Another anagram?
Bo: Probably. I think it's the Sharma Day Spa, so you'd
get a massage.Jordan: Sounds good, let's report to A.
Bo: Our answers for the puzzles are
Metropolis Man, Central Park, and Get a Massage.A: Good job, Bo. All these of those are correct. But did anything, odd, happen?
Bo: Yeah, these green dudes just showed up in the junkyard and took Martin away.
A: *sigh* It's as I feared. I'm gonna call the others. Head on back here as fast as you can. I don't want you guys on the streets.
Bo: What, you knew about this? What's going on?
A: I'll explain at the house. Just get here. Quickly!
Aaron: Here's the third puzzle.
"Egyptians like books." Now what does that mean?
(-I goofed and forgot to have A. call Aaron to give him secondary clues, but he did get them, which are written in italics. Just so people don't think I'm cheating you out of points: Audren)Aaron: Dan Tansy, my good competitor? And
my good recipe? I guess that might be a
Dynasty.Aaron: Egyptians like books? And
what did they invent that'd help with books? Paper, maybe?
Aaron: Bragging about property?
Synonyms for property? Like land? Wait, that's it!
Landgraab!A: There you are, Aaron? Where's Nick?
Aaron: He got beat up and kidnapped by some green-skinned people. They looked like aliens.
A: Did you get your answers, at least?
Aaron: Yes, my answers are,
Dynasty, Paper, and LandgraabA: Landgraab is correct, and the others are close. It was a specific Dynasty I was looking for,
The Man Dynasty. As for paper, the Egyptians invented papyrus, a type of paper that lent its name to the
Papyrus Memorial Library. Head on home, Aaron. We'll need to talk about the abductions.
Carrots: There's a puzzle on the deathflower!
"I, David Rose, went shopping."Autumn: And here's one in the mausoleum.
"While in REM sleep I found a map of a cairn looming overhead. What am I famous for in Carl and Pam's Sims 3 forum?"Carrots: I found the last clue in the vase.
"The rangy male Sim arranged to meet a friend at one of Sunset Valley's hangouts. Where did he go?" A: Carrots! Where's Autumn!?
Carrots: Here in the graveyard with me and the lamp. Why?
A: *phew* I'll explain later. You need more clues?
Carrots: Yes, please.
A: Okay, for the rangy male, your clue is
"Our rangy male sim also got a bit grungy." The cairn is,
"Turn the map around!' Finally, the I, David Rose is
"I, David Rose like books"Autumn: I, David Rose sounds important, or he wouldn't have repeated it.
Carrots: Maybe it's an acronym?
Autumn: And he looks books. So, he went shopping for books? A bookstore?
Carrots: Yeah, the
Divisadero Bookstore!
Carrots: As for the other puzzle, 'map' turned around is Pam. Maybe the answer is
Pam.Autumn: But what about the third puzzle? Hangouts? Male? I'm baffled.
Carrots: The Voice taught me a way to get help. Sit still until nightfall and see what happens.
Autumn: What would that do?
Carrots: Trust in the Voice, Autumn. It's always right.
*fast forward to night*
Tragic Clown: Okay, I know you're confused, so I went onto Simpedia to help you out. Check out this quote.
"Embedded words
When the answer appears in the clue but is contained within one or more words, it is hidden. For example:
Introduction to do-gooder canine (3)
gives DOG, which is the first part of, or "introduction to", the word "do-gooder", and means "canine".Autumn: Embedded words? A. kept mentioning the rangy male. That's it! He went to the
gym!Carrots: Call A!
Autumn: We have our answers.
Pam, Divisadero, and the GymA: Divisadero and Gym are correct, and Pam is close enough that I'll count it. I was looking for
Carina Dreamweaver.Carrots: I told you the Voice would help us, Autumn!
A: Get back to the house. We have something to talk about.
Aaron: What's going on, A? Those green men took Nick.
Jordan: And Martin! You said you knew the guys who did it!
A: I do. The black-haired alien is Xar Meep. He's a very talented abductor. We've... met before.
Aaron: So what does that mean?
A: Meep took them to his alien queen for... studies. I don't think we'll be seeing them again.
Autumn: What!?
A: We can't follow them into space! I've tried stopping him before, and I failed. I'm gonna call my friend in the army and see if they can find Meep and his crew, but I wouldn't get our hopes up.
Carrots: What happens now?
A: We rest. Get a good night's sleep. We'll take a break from the game for a while. Our hopes are with Martin and Nick.
(Audren Notes Below)
Nick's player, Simboy134 hasn't been online in almost a month, and was sporatic for even longer. I kept him on as long as I could, but I simply can't have a contestant here without their controller. That was my original plan, and I was going to execute someone else as well. But...
Widonja, Martin's player, PMed me a week ago telling me that he would have to withdraw from the Mole because he would not be able to keep up. We'll miss you, Widonja.
Therefore, with two players already leaving, I've decided not to hold an Execution this Challenge, because eliminating 3 people so quickly would throw off my schedele. I still want journals, though. I'll post the layout for the Fourth Challenge later today or tomorrow.
