The last game I played I played that one save for 32-33 in game weeks. I quit playing my sims 3 game for several months right around the 20-21 week mark because it just wasn't fun anymore. I eventually played through it because i wanted to finish what i was doing. Well, I started over a couple days ago and I'm started to enjoy the game again. Do you enjoy playing one save for a long period of time? or do you like playing one save for awhile and  then starting over?

I played my first game for about 20 weeks because I was such a newbie that I didn't know you could have more than one save file! I got bored and started a new one. Remembering how hard you have to struggle to make money and fix broken plumbing has made me appreciate the first file all over again! So I play both depending on my mood.

I'm constantly restarting games, because I'll think of something new I want to try. I don't play console (PC). I've only played one or two games where my sims made it to elder.

I prefer to play one save for a long period of time, though if I think of an idea, I'll start a new save. But for most of the time, it's only one.

I usually have five or six games going at a time. My games are mostly long-running generational games.

I have my very first Sims 3 save. It has five generations so far. My founder Jeff married Hennalore Landgrabb they had Samantha, Gen 2 married Todd Aragon they had Colton, Gen 3 married Trinity(I dont remember her last name) they had Elizabeth, Gen 4 married Darrel Brock they had Susan who is now a toddler. She looks like great-grandmother Samantha, who died the day before Elizabeth turned YA. This save has gone on for 20 game weeks.

I frequently restart my save games, as I'm always trying something new. My Dynasty's my longest current file, and will end up being my longest ever. I've only ever gotten to Generation 3.

I am constantly changing game files and I have only gotten as far as the third generation before. I'm using my legacy to try and stick with it for a while and make it much further.
If at first you don't succeed, call it version 1.0.

I've only ever gotten to generation 3, but that includes restarting with the gen 2 sims. In an actual file with no breakups, I've gotten as far as generation 2 being a young adult before my hard drive kicked in. I've never actually stopped playing a generational file through choice, it's always bugs or technical problems that ruin it. I much prefer long-term files, though I've had a few short-term ones just to dabble in some new careers or try out skills, that sort of thing. Right now, I have my Dynasty, DecaDynasty, Legacy and just-for-fun file. My legacy will be the longest, I plan on it being thirty generations long, although I'll probably drag out my dynasty so it finishes more or less halfway through. But yea, I'm definitely a generational player. :)

I usually like to start over and try different things out...Although a couple times, I did try playing on a save for a really long time, but eventually I got kind of tired of it.

It depends on the situation for me.  Like, if I want to get to the highest point in a career or something I may play the game for a long time.  Well, it doesn't really take that long to get to the top of a career.  But, a lot of times I just play random and do what I want and I do get bored after a while so I delete my saved game and start over.  I put lots of work into a house then I delete it and start over.  It's fun to start fresh and come up with new ideas.

Do you all realize this is on the Console board?  Should I move it or does it really belong on Console?
