I posted this in the Babble Thread, but I'm posting it here too.

Google lists them [The Forum/Guide] as #2 for "Famous Sims 3 Forum" and #3 for "Best Sims 3 Forum Ever".
And, drumroll please....
#1 for "Best Sims Medieval Forum Ever"!!!!

I honestly nearly fell out of my chair. I know this forum is great, but the sites that are usually at the top of the results - GameSpot, The official Site...

:D Well I didn't try but it's cool we came highly recommended with those keywords. Search Engine Optimization is a science and the only ones I try for are the simples, like blah Guide and blah Forum. No idea how we ranked for that stuff.

Glad you think we're great, Esther. We've tried to keep things with the plan, but mostly it's that we've attracted some really nice and inviting people here :)

Yes it is an awesome and welcoming place. I think that is the biggest reason, besides the amazing information here, that keeps me coming back every day. The warmth and caring atmosphere is unrivaled on the web. Plus, I know how much time it takes to write one guide much less all the guides on here. They are wonderful and a testament to how dedicated you and the rest of the staff are.

This forum is Pam's brainchild. She gave me advice and I took it and gave her all the power she needed to do it. Lately, I just write. Tom helps me with that,and runs his challenges. It's a wonderful mix of talent. Pam and our other first-gen mods went out and found some really dedicated people to keep it all in balance. When we set a record here it is not the result of any one of us doing something right. I think it's the portion of the Sims community we attracted just being themselves and there is something magnetic about you all ;)

Esther I hope you and everyone else who likes us will stick around as we evolve over the years. I will never allow this forum to end so long as someone enjoys it :)

Of course I will be here. Even if I grow out of the sims, (haha I don't think that will ever happen!!) I would still be here because of the people!  ;D

I don't see myself going anywhere soon.  I have been here almost from the start and have watched this forum grow.  It is amazing to see this transformation from 3 or 4 online at one time to well over 100.  I am addicted to this site and the sims.  I have another computer on standby if something ever happens to this one, knock on wood, lol. :)

Congratulations to this wonderful forum and all the good people who sail on her (sorry for the nautical reference, I couldn't help myself  ;) ).

Can anyone tell me the first day the forum opened?  Carl's post in the Welcome to the Forum thread is dated August 31, 2009.  Is that the first post?  If so, August 31 of this year would make 2 years of growth and greatness.  I for one would like to raise a glass to the forum on the day.
