That's a lot of birthdays, but it's nice to see that everything is calm and normal.

Chapter Fifteen: A New Chapter for the Teens
Everything went smoothly over the next week, Bella taught Jack to walk and I was promoted at work. I was so close to becoming an astronaut as I wished. Bella, I noticed, grew anxious to get promoted at work. I knew she wanted to start back at work, and we were done with having children.
I also received yet another phone call from my mother. She told me she had the twins and named them Hermes and Aristaeus, and was pregnant with another set of twins again. She also said that Sam had celebrated his 60th birthday...
My heart grew heavy to think my mother would be next in line to age up. I knew she was getting old, but she was happy with Sam, and that saddened me the most. I knew she loved him more than anything in the world and I wouldn't be able to bear the sight when he passed on...she would be devastated.

However, my boys were finding out love on their own. They met a couple of girls at school, their names were Emily Gresham and Sadie Gregory. They were very beautiful girls.

Poseidon eventually told Emily that he liked her...

Kissed her...

Then asked her to be his girlfriend...

I was so proud of my son, but what father wouldn't be? Zeus...wasn't so lucky on the first night he hung out with Sadie, but he didn't mind, he didn't want to rush it. They both came home, did their homework and headed off to bed.
In the morning, it was my day off, so I spent the day reading up on my mechanical skill as Bella taught Jack to talk and use the potty. He learned both.

After school, Zeus went to Sadie's house and confessed his attraction to her and went in for the kiss. I think she was swept off her feet. Then they started going steady as well. My first born son...had a girlfriend. I cherished the moment...

After Hades mastered his oven and Athena finally mastered the block table, I had to go give a seminar at the base. My wife celebrated her adult birthday and my son would start school soon. Jack looked so much like Hades, and both boys looked so much like Bella. I was happy about it...but a little disappointed, after all, Zeus and Athena were my only children that really resembled me. I still loved all my children though...
I had to miss out on the celebrations, but I was still happy about the new chapters in our lives...

I was ready to see my boys learn to drive and go to prom...then they'd be graduating soon...

The girl[friends] are very pretty! Did you add them to the town or were that there?

Chapter Sixteen: Life Goes On
After Hades became a child, we realized we wouldn't have enough space to suffice with the extra child we had amongst us. So, we had a house built with 6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, and a kitchen, living room, and dining area. We weren't too happy with the small space for Epona, but she managed.

The house

The interior

Living Room

Kitchen

Dining

Bathroom (they all look the same)

Master Bedroom

Zeus

Poseidon

Athena

Hades

Jack

We lived in the old house for a few months, also received an update from Mom, she said that Cronus had turned into a teenager, the twins were toddlers, and she had two new girls, Artemis and Hestia. After I got promoted and finally fulfilled my lifelong dream of becoming an astronaut and Bella started back at work, we moved into the new house. A couple of years went by and I received a call from Mom again...she said that Sam had passed away...
She didn't seem so sad though, but I knew it was because she knew her time would soon follow. She asked me to come over one day and handed me an old leather book that had maybe 250 pages in it.
"Take this Ares..." she said, her hands were thin and pale, not like the ones I would hold when I was but a small child.
"What is it, Mom?"
"Its my journal..." she smiled, her eyes still very much full of life which gave me the hope that she'd live a little longer, "Keep it safe, and remember me by it..."
I flipped to the first page, it read:

"The name's Rex Rocker and yes, I am a girl. I am the prodigy of a famous movie producing mom and a successful rock star dad; I'm not sure why they decided to name me Rex. I've always been known as the life of the party, the bad girl, and I've never backed down from a fight. Mom and Dad took me to Sunset Valley to fulfill their dreams and I grew up there, I raised my children there, and my children raised their children there..."

"Mom, I couldn't possibly take this..." I tried to hand it back, but she pushed it against my chest.
"Please...I know you'll keep it safe and I want you to pass it down to your children...so they'll know where they came from..." she smiled and then kissed my forehead.
I knew I was in possession of a great book, a book that not only described my true beginnings, but my children's as well. I kept it close to my heart and drove back home with it.
Over the weeks to come, the children finally settled back into their school schedules, Jack signed up for scouting and Poseidon cared for Epona in his down time.

Zeus, Hades, and Jack would chat in the morning before the school bus came and Athena would usually take longer getting ready (as normal girls do) for school.

Bella finally got back to exercising (as if she needed it) again, and Zeus and Poseidon studied harder than ever. I told them that as long as they kept their grades to a B or higher, I would teach them to drive, but as soon as the grades dropped, the driving lessons stopped too. We plan to have our first driving lesson this weekend while I'm off work. I only work on Mondays now that I'm an astronaut.
Athena often times asked me to read Mom's diary to her as a bedtime story, she loved the part where she told Stiles that she didn't want to marry him and when I went to Mom when I was only 3 years old and told her not to cry when Parker cheated on her. I never realized how my mother's life could be a story to tell, but that's how it turned out...

A few more years went by steadily, and it finally came around to be Athena and Hades' birthdays. Bella was shocked at Athena's resemblance to me, and her brother Zeus, but it was fitting. After all, in mythology, Athena did spring from Zeus' head. Hades looked like Bella in so many ways, and requested a mohawk with red highlights; it was probably just a phase, but we let him get his haircut the way he wanted.

Mom's birthday also arrived after the twins' and she had reached the 60 year old mark. Cronus being a teenager, the boys being children, and her new girls toddlers, I knew she had a handful with Sam being gone...

The way the journal was handed over was very cool! Athena does look a lot like her father, which is kinda funny considering mythology! Nice update.

Love the new house! It looks like Hades is going through a typical teenage phase. Athena looks so much like her dad.

Chapter Seventeen: A Passing and Two Adults
The years were flying by and none could stop the time from slipping out of our grasp. Cronus had finally graduated, his twin brothers were teenagers, and his little sisters were children. Mom grew older by the minute and I constantly waited for a call from my brother saying she had passed. My twin brothers and Themis had gotten married and had kids of their own. I was finally an uncle and Bella an aunt.
Poor Epona though, I knew Poseidon wanted to race her, but time definitely wasn't her friend anymore...if he didn't breed her soon, he would miss out on the making of a great offspring. Poseidon wanted a colt, but he would have to wait to breed her. Poseidon and Zeus were so busy with schoolwork, they had forgotten to do their chores most of the time. Bella and I constantly had to remind them. We also taught them to drive and they went to prom and had a lovely time, so did Athena and Hades. They all looked so dashing in their fancy tuxes and dresses. Especially the boys' girlfriends...

Their graduations grew closer just as everything else did and soon our sons would be entering the world on their own. I wouldn't miss them, I knew they'd stay in town somewhere. Along with the great events of the prom and driving lessons, Jack finally became a teenager after reaching level one of his scouts activity. It was something to see, he had performed so well in school and always stayed on the honor roll, just like his older siblings. We had 5 teenagers in the house, two of which were about to become young adults.

And he has his eyes closed...

Bella, I think, didn't like the idea of her babies moving out of the house. Every day she looked at them with their girlfriends or watched them drive to school, it made her heart sink. I tried to tell her not to worry, that they would probably live just a few blocks away, but she always said:
"Its still the fact that my babies are finally growing up. They aren't children anymore."
I understood what she meant and how she felt, so I never argued with her after that.

Afterwards, we taught Hades and Athena to drive as well and they caught on quicker than their older twin brothers. They had always been eager to learn though. All of them had been doing so well in school, I'm surprised they didn't give them cash for their grades. Athena had joined the shop club and Hades had joined the newspaper club. They did very well in their after school activities and earned a few trophies and awards.
A few months later, we received a phone call from Cronus, but not to announce the death of my mother, but to announce the birthdays of the twin boys who had become adults and the twin girls who had finally become teenagers. Afterwards, Zeus and Poseidon graduated along with Athena and Hades. We were left with one child. Bella became depressed from the "empty nest" syndrome and rarely did anything around the house anymore. I didn't mind, I knew she was going through a rough time, so I picked up her slack and did the house chores for her. Some months went by...and we found out that my mom...the starter of my life, the starter of our family's beginnings...had finally passed on to be with Sam...
We were so depressed after her passing, we failed to teach Jack to drive...he said he didn't mind when we tried to make it up to him, but he understood that we were in mourning.

We went to the funeral, where her tombstone lay in the dirt next to Sam's. Cronus took up the responsibility of taking care of his younger sisters with his wife and Bella and I went home, feeling quite sad in the afternoon. After mourning, we had Jack's birthday arriving once more. He had attended prom and won a few awards for entering in shop and art club after school. He graduated and moved to a house close to the beach...

Years have gone by since then, and Bella and I are old now...seeing the end of our days...

We had both fulfilled our lifelong dreams of becoming astronauts and...
After everything, after all I've been through in my life, I wouldn't change a single thing. Like my mother once told me when I was a child...

"Everything happens for a reason..."

Yep. I was actually sad to watch Ares grow into an elder...because I had watched him grow up since an infant...  :(
