This is really coming together well, Chuckles.  You've put so much detail and effort into this and it shows.  Everything I've seen is fabulous.  I'm really hanging out for you posting this magnificent world.

I love it! It really looks like the Dragonfly Inn  ;D That was my favorite TV Show when I was like... 14? And I still watch it sometimes when they repeat it haha.

Thank you Magz, Squirt and Frey - it has indeed been a labour of love. I finished fixing the final things today, except for a few CAW issues I seem to be having. My houseboat won't stay docked, and my resort keeps going funky. I've exported 3 times, and it keeps losing all the shrubbery, a whole upstairs bathroom, the beds, and 2 bedside tables (but not the other two weirdly enough). I've checked the direction of the doors to see if that was making a difference, but I can't see how it could be. It keeps one bathroom, but not the other, and the doors are oriented the same way - arrows facing into the bedrooms. The icon for the lot looks fine though. I've posted my issues on the official forum, so now all I can do is sit and wait. And make the sims I suppose. I keep putting that off - it's not something that I relish.

I know you're kind of doing this as an independent task, but if you want some help creating the sims I am willing to help. You could PM me the specifications and a screenshot of their house and I could get to work.

If you'd rather stay on your own computer, that's fine. I just thought I'd put that out there.  :)

This looks so great! I envy your world-building skills. I've been trying to make my own, but it's an act of trial and error.   ;D

Thank you - there's been a lot of trial and error here, too. The main advice I can give is to make many, many different saves along the way, and keep them all!

That inn looks great! I'd love to have my sims stay there :)

Thank you :)

Thank you - I have had a lot of fun creating patterns to contribute to that atmosphere (all of which will be included in the world file).

Thank you for the offer, bubbles. I'd love to be able to avoid doing this part, but I feel like  I need to, for myself. Plus it's a little more complicated than just creating them.

I've been draggin my feet with this part, but I started to make a master list of all the sims who will be created. First step is assigning sims to careers. With minimum numbers filled, so far I have:

Law Enforcement x 1: LJ Gibbs - Tripplo Agent(9); 7 Athletic skill, 9 Logic Skill; performance 75%
Politics: Tony Abbott - Leader of the free world (10), level 5 charisma, peformance 75%
Business x 2: Lorelai Gilmore - Vice President (7); ?
Culinary x 2: Luke Danes - Line Cook (5); 8 cooking skill; performance 75%; ?
Sport x 4: ?
Education x 2: Ellorienne - High school teacher(6); ? charisma, ? logic; performance 0%; ?
Criminal x 2:
Science x 2: Abbey Schuto - Top Secret Researcher (8.); ? gardening ? fishing ? handiness ? performance 75%
Medical: Nynaeve - Resident (5), ? logic skill; Carson - Gene Therapist (7) ? logic
Military: Scottie - Squadron Leader (8.); Samantha Carter - Flight Officer (5)
Film x 3: Jonathon Brandis - Second Unit Director (7); Julia Roberts - Lead Actor (9); Richard Gear - Supporting Actor (8.)
Journalism x 2: Rory Gilmore - Investigative Reporter (6); ?
Firefighter x 3: ??
Stylist x1: Symone
Game Development x 1: Peter Prian - Testing Manager (3)
Singer x 1: Ditty Prian - Local Phenomenon (5)
Music x 3: Phil Collins; Melanie Thornton; Lane McCray
Register sims x 5: ?

No, they are not smilies, they are level 8s hehehe

The ? sims I might make up from my own previous creations plus some random (unfuglied) sims, with slightly lower career levels to balance it out.

Once I've sorted out skill levels related to career, I will then start assigning them to households. I have a couple of others that I have assigned to a house, but not assigned careers, so they will fill in some gaps too.
Finally, I will fill in most of the other houses to balance out the population.

I could make you some sims, just give me what sort of variety you would like. I love making sims.

I actually squealed when I saw a few people in your list :D the Gilmores and Abby Schuto are from my all time favourite tv series, makes me want to get your world even more :)
From the moment I fell down that rabbit hole I've been told what I must do and who I must be. I've been shrunk, stretched, scratched and stuffed into a teapot. I've been accused of being Alice, and of not being Alice, but this is my dream. I'll decide where it goes from here.

Tony Abbott as leader of the Free World  :o  OMG!  Please reconsider!  Nelson Mandela, FDR, Churchill, Ghandi, etc would be preferable.  If you must pick an Australian politician go for pig iron Bob.

BTW:  I have a Gibbs if that'll help?

Lol its ok, Tony's close enough to retirement anyway - as far as sims go. I actually already made a Gibbs, though i dont know how close the resemlance is, the clothes are pretty dead on. I actually had fun making Gibbs and a Mrs Gibbs. They can have a chance to live happily ever after.
