I need to do ceilings in CAW - unless there is a trick to getting the camera to tilt high enough? I've only managed to do that in CAW by using the TAB key.

Have you tried putting the walls in cutaway view? That usually works for me.  :)

Love the arch behind the stove!

Also, I want that bathroom. Very classy and nice. It fits well with the exterior.

Ok, the album is fixed now. I'll be adding more photos when it is complete. I've enjoyed building this on a completely different level to any other build before.

Just amazing Chuckles. It's OK with me that you used that free plant, especially since it fits so well. That kitchen of yours needs to be in my house  ;D

After a bit of a break, a bit of creative diversion and learning some new techniques, I am back working on Cypress Lakes to try and strive for the finish-line now. Today I finished off Waterfall Manor. I've had one chair in the sitting room being a real pain in my sims buttocks, but I've finally got that straight. I had a few hiccups with the safety system for the lab, but that's sorted out now too. And, there's a little surprise in the attic upstairs :D

I started work on the local bar (I'll have to check my list to see if it is indeed a local or other type of bar, as I cut the list down to a minimum). I have an idea in my head now, so just need to put that together. I have a vague idea for one of the other bars, and I know what I want to do with the pool - it's just getting it together and doing it.

The count-down is on now. Here is the Dive bar (well, local-ish dive bar): The Harcourt

The local pub is a bit of a dive, but there's a beer nectar garden out the back where you can enjoy a BBQ lunch, and a bed to crash in upstairs if you stay too late and get too juiced.

I haven't recoloured the bar and stools yet - I don't know what to do with those yet. Well-worn seems to kind of suit. The wood on the stools doesn't match, but there needs to be some sort of break from all the dark-coloured wood.

Maybe you could pull out the taupe that I can see in the grain of the table . That might work . It would be in the same family but lighter than the dark wood .  :)

Thank you ladybug - it's always good to have input and different ideas when things don't work.

Today I have had a surprising amount of fun working on the Disco lot. Surprising, because it's one of those lots that I had been putting off, and putting off, but now I'm getting close to finished, I have to do it.

First floor (not ground floor)

Basement - Exclusive area

Front

I have one more floor to do - the dance-floor floor. I'm looking at what I have there so far and cringing (photos not included, obviously). I also have to do the "coffee shop" on the ground floor. Then maybe I'll reassess the fire-escape out the back. Having been working on the inside so long, I'm not entirely sure about the colours on the exterior now - but they blend in well on a whole-town level.

Love the disco. The colors are just so soothing and calm. Sometimes we have to take our time when we want greatness! Can't wait to see more from you.

Thank you Ladybug and Shaunta. I cannot claim the idea for the half-wall shrubs though - even though I've done similar in the past, this particular idea I gleaned from elsewhere. I looked at a lot of pictures before I settled on what I wanted to do for this build though. The colour scheme is all mine, in so far as I didn't adapt it from anywhere else. I tried changing the orange, because I felt darker would have made it seem more balanced, but I couldn't get a colour that wasn't brown, red, or way too bright. So it stays. The dance floor is going to be the hardest part now.

I have finished off the Disco this morning - aside from naming it. Ooh, name right there. I will call it Queue. Oh, and I have to change lot types, add a stove, and then change it back (using CAW this is possible).
