Snapping objects

Is it possible to snap objects to align with each other? I'm not sure if I've imagined doing it before, or if it's because I've used that kind of function in image editing software. If there is a way (other than copy-pasting the exact x/y/z coordinates) can someone please let me know? Thanks

Edit: I don't want them to snap to the grid - it doesn't put them where I want them then.
