Chapter 29

Harley:

Mom is tired, so I thought I would take over for a bit.  I miss my dad alot, but we have settled into a routine.  We think of him all of the time, but mom is the one I worry about.  She had gone to the pier to spend time with daddy and slept there almost every night.  I finally convinced her to bring daddy home, that way, at least she would be home, if he ever decided to pay us a visit.

In the mean time, I met a boy and he is really nice.  We flirted and had our first kiss, he is really awesome.

Now why didn't I know him when I went to the dance, oh well, I know him now.

One Sunday, Mom finally decided to teach me to drive, yay, I can't wait.

Oops, I guess I don't know when to stop this thing.

After I got my certificate, we went home and gave mom a big hug and thanked her for teaching me.

Time has passed and it is the twins birthday.  They were so good and I hope they stay that way.  I babysit sometimes, so mom can visit friends.  I finally have gotten her out of the house some.
Dylan Jr.  He really looks like daddy.

Davis:  Not sure where the blonde hair came from, none of us have that color of hair.  He looks more like mom.

I ask mom one day, if it was love at first sight when she met daddy.  She said, that wasn't the case when they met, in fact, she couldn't stand him.  She proceeded to tell me the story of how she met daddy and what her, so called parents, did to her.  No wonder her and daddy were so close.  I told her I really liked Alex and that he may be the one.  Mom told me I really needed to meet lots of people and figure out what I wanted to do for my future.  I don't really know yet, I still feel like a kid sometimes.

Mom and I had lots of good talks.

Guess I had better go help mom with dinner.  Hope to see ya soon.

Chapter 30

Harley convinced me to get out a little more and visit friends, but most of the people I knew are either pregnant, married or elder.  Honey has moved again, for about the third time and I can't seem to keep up with her.  I had gone to a party, if you call it that, and started chatting with a lady that was very much pregnant.

She was outgoing person and she really liked to talk.  I told her I had to leave and she grabbed me and gave me a hug and told me to call her anytime.

I found out later, that she had given birth that same night.  I headed home and saw Haley in the back yard, staring at something.  It was Dylan.  This is the first time I had seen him since he passed.  I heard her ask him if he would read her a bedtime story, which part of me thought was cute and another part of me wanted to scream.

The first place Dylan headed for was the boys room.  They were sleeping and was hoping that he wouldn't disturb them.  It just felt weird to see Dylan as ghost and quite frankly, I wasn't sure how I felt.  Of course it wasn't the same.

I then saw Dylan head downstairs to Harley's room.  He waved at her and could tell he was thinking about her, I couldn't imagine what it must feel like to be a ghost, poor Dylan.

Then Dylan crawled in bed with Harley to take a nap.  I thought that was rather sweet, in a ghostly way. haha

When Harley woke up and saw her dad, she was shocked and excited and immediately gave him a hug and then they started making faces at each other like they use to.

I couldn't stand seeing him like this anymore and I went to lie down.  A few minutes later, Dylan showed up and crawled in bed with me.  I wasn't quite sure what to do or say and just put his arms around me and said he missed me and loved me with all of his heart.  After that, he got up and vanished.

I laid there in shock, not knowing what to do or say or think.  Of course I still loved Dylan and thought about him all of the time, but I don't think I want his ghost around all of the time.  I was trying to move on and maybe this wasn't healthy.....I need some sleep, maybe I had been asleep and dreamed the whole thing...

Chapter 31 - "Birthdays, graduation and engagement, oh my"

It has been a while since I saw Dylan, maybe he was just checking up on the family, whatever the case may be, we are moving on.  Harley ask me, if I thought I would ever meet someone, would I get married again.  I didn't think so at one time, but they would have to be pretty special.

It was Harley's adult birthday and she looks amazing.  She is a smart and well adjusted adult and I believe she can do anything she set her mind to.

Alex had already turned to adult and had come to congratulate Harley and they were officially going steady.  Maybe he is the one for Harley, who am I to judge. If they are in love, then I say go for it, you only live once.  If she is happy, that is all that matters.

We got into our routine again and the girls birthdays creeped up on me and I didn't even by them a cake.  They didn't mind, there was still cake in the freezer from other birthdays.  They turned out to be quite lovely, of course, I didn't have no ugly babies, haha.
Heather:

Haley:

Well, with birthdays out of the way for now, it was time for Harley's graduation.  It was a happy and a sad day.  My baby was a woman now, capable of making her own decisions and ready for her new life to begin.

And then, I saw what happened next and kind of shocked me, but I should have seen it coming:

I guess that was a yes!

Well, this is wonderful news, I think.  I know they don't plan on living with me.  I told Harley, just as I promised her dad, I would buy them a house.  She had to realize, if she wanted to maintain it, she needs to work.  She already knew that, why did I even bother to say anything.  Just being a mom, I suppose.  We all went back to the house to celebrate, but the two lovebirds had ideas of their own, I guess.

Not sure when the wedding is going to be.  I told Harley I would pay for whatever she wanted.  She said, just a couple of friends and the family is all that mattered and they would just get married in the yard.  So now a wedding to plan.

A couple of weeks had gone by and got a phone call.  He said his name was Mr. Payne.  He said that he had heard that I may be looking for my birth mom and maybe he could help me.  He had done an Orphanage Project a number of years back and it was very successful.  He said he had moved on, since he had heard of a black market ring, where babies were kidnapped and then sold to rich families.  I told him, in short, about how my life came about and he thought he might be able to help me.  He would be in touch, after he did some more research.  I was stunned and excited.  Was I one of the ones kidnapped?  Was my mom looking for me?  Was she even still alive?  Guess I will find out one of these days.......

Chapter 32 - "The Search and Leo"

A few days had passed and I was wondering why Mr. Payne had not called me back.  It was early and I couldn't sleep, so I went to fix breakfast, or try to anyway.  My cooking skills hadn't improved much, but I was getting better.  When I got downstairs, I saw a strange man in my front yard.

I went out to give this person a piece of mind and why was he looking in my window.

Before I could say anything he said, "Wait lady, before you jump on me, I am Leo, Mr. Payne's assistant.  He sent me because he has fallen ill and I will be handling your case.  Call him if you like, I promise, I am not crazy or a stalker, just here to do a job."

I told him my name is not lady, but he could call me Mrs. Michaels.  We proceeded to talk about some of my life and how it got around to favorite foods, I will never know.

About that time, Harley came out and I explained what was going on.

Harley leaned in to whisper in my ear, "mom, he is adorable, don't you think?"  I said, "Harley, don't even think about it, he looks too young for me and besides, he is here to do a job and then he will be leaving.  "Right mom, whatever you say, but he still cute."

Leo ask me if there were any condo's or houses for rent in town.  I told him, "Look around you.  Do you think this is the type of place that has condo's?"   Leo said, "well, um, maybe I could stay here until I find a place, I assure you, this is business only."  I asked him if it looked like I had any room in this house.  With five kids and a part time live in fiance, I don't think so.  Then it struck me, "look, I have an old twin bed in storage.  If I put it in the garage for now, would that be ok?  He told me that was fine, he wouldn't be here long anyway, mainly to just gather more information.  I told him it was deal, but he would have to fix his own meals and he better not even look at my teenage daughters or he would have me to deal with.

Leo:

Well, what has Mr. Payne got me into.  This house is crazy full.  On the other hand, Mrs. Michaels is a beautiful woman and I hope I can help her find her mom.  She has had a bad first start to her life, but she must have loved her husband dearly.  I am getting tired and I would love to settle down someday.  She really loves her kids, I can see that.  I guess I better not keep looking into windows, she will think I am weird or something, but she is so beautiful.

I guess the barn will be ok for now, but wait until I get ahold of Mr. Payne.  I suppose I have stayed in worse places and at least I can have my motorcyle.  Ok, I found the bed, now what.  Guess I will just relax for now, until I get further instructions from Mr. Payne.

This job may not be too bad after all.  Only time will tell......

Tricia:

Oh my gosh, I just thought of something, this is how it started with Dylan and I really hope history doesn't repeat itself.  Would I ever be ready to settle down?  Leo is handsome though. Stop Tricia, your talking to yourself, but why do I feel so strange inside............

I know I am rushing things, but with bigger files, my computer starts to get laggy and freeze every few seconds.  It is not totally unplayable, but if I keep adding to the household, it will be.  So if it seems to go a little faster, that is why.  I have ideas for the next few chapters and am trying to wrap it up before I go on vacation in a few weeks.  Bear with me, lol.

Thanks for the comments.  I was actually thinking of bringing Dylan back.  She has the "oh my ghost"  opportunity, but that is creepy and besides, she really needs to move on.

Oh, since when do ghosts actually have voice now?  I guess I haven't played one in a while and if I remember correctly, they didn't talk normal, like Dylan does now?

The girls all grew up so beautifully. I hope Tricia can find her birth parents! It's weird that Dylan talks normally. My ghosts always make a bunch of weird noises, like echo-y voices and screams.

Chapter 33

The days just seem to drag on.  There has been no news on my mom.  They thought they had a trace on her, but it turned up nothing.  It will be Dylan Jr.'s and Davis birthday in a few days.  When they go to school, I will actually be alone for the first time in years.  Mr. Payne has been in contact with me and apologized for not coming here himself, but assured me Leo was quite capable handling situations like this.  About Leo, he is a very nice looking man and he does help me with the boys.  It is so strange seeing another man with Dylans babies.  I just thought that Dylan and I would grow old together and raise our family.  I know things change, but part of me is ready to meet someone and part of me is not.  Honey told me, I needed closure.  If Dylan came out again, I should tell him goodbye, take his headstone back to the pier and returne once a year on the anniversary of his death.  That sounded so cruel, but I guess it makes sense.

Come to find out, Harley and Alex had a private wedding in her room.  She told me she just wanted to move on and it was a spontaneous decision.  She would, however, like to have a reception, when the boys were older.  Again, whatever makes her happy.

I kept my promise and just by chance, there was a house across the street that was for sale.  Harley said that was fine.  That way I was close when my grand babies arrived and no, she said she wasn't pregnant, not yet anyway.

In other news, Jersey is getting pretty old and I think the time is close for him.  He has been a wonderful pet and companion and I ride him whenever I can.  I applied at the adoption agency for a foal.  They said I wouldn't have to wait very long for one.

It seems that Haley and Leo are chatting quite a bit and I think she has a crush on him.  I walked in the boys room and I could swear that she was trying to flirt with him.  I let her have it, for one she is too young and two, he is too old.

Haley, "mom, get a grip.  We were just talking, good grief. I don't like boys that much yet and when I do, it won't be Leo."

I finally just left it alone.  What was wrong with me, I had all of these feelings inside, that I hadn't felt in years.  Dylan was my one and only boyfriend, husband, lover and friend.  But I was lonely and I am not quite sure what to do about it.  Do I flirt with Leo?  Will he reject me?  After looking out the window at this sight, I just might have to try it and see.

Dragon turned into an elder and is still quite beautiful and fast as ever.  I am going to have spend more time with him and maybe enter him a couple of races.

Well, girls will be home soon and I have toddlers to feed and a man to flirt with, oh my, did I say that.  A girl has to do, what a girl has to do.....

Chapter 34 - "Birthdays"

It was finally the boys birthdays.  My little boys were growing so fast and getting so handsome.  I think Dylan Jr. takes after his dad and Davis, well, Davis is just Davis.  Not sure he who he looks like yet, especially with that blonde hair.
Dylan Jr.:

Davis:

I moved the girls downstairs and let the boys have the room upstairs.  It worked out nicely.  The next morning, I got a phone call from the school and they said that Haley and Heather never made it there.  Wait until I get my hands on those two.  Leo beat me to it.  I didn't know whether to be mad or grateful, but they seemed to listen to him and even tried to make it up by doing extra chores.

A few days later, Leo told me he had to leave town to do some more research.  He said he would only be gone a couple of days and hopefully he would have some news for me.  What happened next, I was not expecting, but it was nice.

Well, this is nice.  I realized, I had feelings for Leo, but what was going to happen when his work here was done? Would I see him again?  And these feelings I was having, what now?

He told me when he gets back, we are going on a real date and have some fun.  Gosh, it had been awhile since I had fun.  This could be interesting.......
