I love this story. Tricia has changed so much, we've seen her grow up and that's so beautiful. I feel kind of sorry for her father, even though he was mean to her. :( If she can change, maybe he can too. I hope so! Welcome Harley! With those parents she's going to be a cutie.

Chapter 16

Dylan and I settled into a nice routine.  He started renovations for the upstairs, scattered hay and I tended to little Harley and kept up with the housework.  Fiona seemed to be feeling kind of down and wouldn't nurse Dragon, so I had to step in and help.

It didn't matter how tired Dylan was, he always showered and played with Harley, I could already tell, she was going to be a daddy's girl.

The upstairs was finally finished and the three of us finally moved up to our new rooms.  There wasn't much in Harleys room yet, but she still has some time before she is a toddler.  Fiona seems really sick and we took her to the vet.  He said she was just tired and she needed all of the love we could give her.  Little Dragon was confused why her momma didn't want to play anymore, so I played with Dragon as much as possible and now he follows me everywhere.  I brush Fiona and talk to her alot and she seems to feel better when I do.

I had gone into town to get some things for Harley and a suprise for Dylan, when I thought I saw someone that looked a heck of alot like my dad.  I new it couldn't be him, this man was wearing clothes that my dad would not get caught dead in.  I shook it off and headed home.  I told Dylan about seeing that man and he didn't say a word.  Ok, he knows something and is not telling me.  I knew him only too well.  I guess I will find out one way or another if I have to drag it out of him.

Chapter 17 - "Birthdays"

I figured when the time was right, Dylan would tell me whatever it was he needed to.  Fiona was back to her old self again and I called and ask the vet if I could enter her in a race.  He said it would probably do her some good, so off we went.  We came in second in the advanced international cross country race.  Fiona still wasn't at her best, even if she did have racing maxed out.

Harley's birthday was today and I knew I wouldn't get to hold my little pumpkin as a baby anymore, so I was spending as much time with her as possible.  Dylan must have been thinking the same thing, because he was patiently waiting for me to put her down, haha, I got to her first.  He is just too slow.

Harley's birthday came so fast, I didn't have time to get her a cake, but maybe when she turns to youth, that will be a better time.  She is so adorable and her daddy can't seem to get enough of her.  I am not sure, but I think she looks more like me, for right now anyway.

We had had a long day and it was my birthday the next day.  I wonder if Dylan will remember, he better, if he knows what is good for him.  When we got up, Dylan put his arms around me and told me happy birthday and handed me a present.  We never had a honeymoon and he knows I have been wanting to go to France.  I don't think this present is big enough for a trip like that.

He had given me one of those electronic pads or something like that.  I had never seen one, but it was really neat and I knew I would use it.  I had taken up reading, so this was a wonderful gift.  Then I looked in the bottom of the box and  I saw an envelope.  It was plane tickets to France, to take whenever we were ready.  I squeeled with delight and almost knocked him over when I jumped in his arms.

I was so overwhelmed, that I didn't know what to say.  I spent the rest of the day walking on a cloud.  Later that evening, Dylan said he had another suprise.  He had called a babysitter and we were going out.  We hadn't been out since before Harley was born.  I wasn't sure about the babysitter idea, I didn't want to trust just anyone with our little one.  It was almost time to leave and we changed into our going out clothes.  About that time, the babysitter showed up, she was such a pretty thing and I knew when she sat down to play with Harley, she was going to be a keeper.

I felt better now and Dylan and I headed out.  There was not too many people at the club, but it didn't matter, all I saw was Dylan.  We danced and we were having a wonderful time.

And then it was time for me to become an adult...

The few people that were there, even joined in the celebration.

Dylan brought me a drink and we toasted to our wonderful life together.  I didn't feel any diffeent, but does this dress make me look fat?  Is that a new wrinkle?

Little did we know, back at the house, Dragon turned into an adult.

It was getting late and we headed home.  It had been a glorious day and there was one more thing that I wanted to do tonight, but that is private, if you get my drift......

Chapter 18

After that wonderful birthday, life just got better.  Dylan took care of the horses and still played with Harley.  She was such a good girl, he played and I taught, good team.

We were going to have watch out for Harley, I think she is going to steal alot of men's hearts.  Fiona and Jersey, both aged up to elder.  They are still vibrant and wonderful horses.  Only thing is, Dylan had taken Jersey to race and when Jersey's birthday hit, he left the race.  He was third place too.

Harley was taking a nap and we were out with the horses, when Dylan, crazy as he was, pulled me in the haystack, talk about spontaneous, silly man.

I laughed and told him to never do that again, those hay needles hurt, ya know.  Our days just sort of ran together and our family just got closer.  I decided to take Dragon for a run, since we had not ridden him yet.  He was a very fast horse and I can't wait to start racing him soon.  I came to a house not too far from ours and the same man was inside that was at the market.  It was a little late to ring the doorbell, so I just sat in his front yard for a bit.

I returned home and Dylan had put Harley to bed and was waiting for me.  We went upstairs and looked in the mirror again, I do alot of that lately, found another wrinkle.  Oh well, might just have to go the hospital and get a facelift one day.

All of a sudden, I felt so nauseated.

Where did that come from.  I knew this time what that meant and I was thrilled and I knew Dylan would be too.  We were financially comfortable, so there was no need to worry about our growing family.

I wanted a little boy this time and I knew Dylan would want a boy too, but we didn't care what it was going to be, they would be loved regardless.  I told Dylan that I thought I was pregnant, I really wasn't sure until I actually had that first bump.  I was right, he was delirious.  I don't thing I have ever seen a man beam, but this is what it would probably look like.

The next day, I decided to call mom and let her know the news, after all she didn't even know about Harley, let alone if I was pregnant again.  Strange, no answer.  She was always home, always.  It was early too, even Daddy should have been home, although, I probably would have hung up on him if he had answered.  Well, no worries, today I am going to try and finish teaching Harley to walk, not too long before her birthday.

I am not sure why, but lately, it seems I have felt someone watching our family......and today was no different.

Chapter 19 - "The Truth Hurts"

I woke up the next morning, really out of sorts.  Sheesh, what is wrong with me.

Then it dawned on me....

I was really and truly pregnant.  With this confirmed, I felt better and realized why I was in such a state this morning.  Dylan had gotten Harley out of her crib and she playing so sweetly all by herself...

and Dylan was in back caring for the horses, when I decided to go over to that man's house and investigate.  It was driving me crazy and I just had to find out who it was and then I would leave it alone.  Dylan would be so upset if he knew I went alone, so I just snuck out and took off.

As I pulled up, the man was in the front yard and it WAS my dad.  What in heaven's name was he doing here and why.  And why was he living in this dump of a house and where was mom.  I had too many unanswered questions that I had better get some answers for.

I ask him what he was up to and he couldn't even look at me.  I knew something was wrong.

I told him about his granddaughter and another one on the way.  He looked shocked and started talking.

He looked upset and explained...

"Ok, Tricia, you need to know the truth.  You are adopted.  There it is out in the open.  Let me explain.  Your mom and I couldn't have kids of our own, so we found this adoption agency and there you were.  I knew I wanted you from the beginning, but things just didn't go as planned.  Your mom was angry because I adopted you without her knowledge.  She hated me for it and therefore, I grew to not like you very much.  That is why we sent you to boarding school, we didn't want you in the house anymore.  I know we made your life miserable and I can't say I am sorry enough."  I just stood there, it felt like my world just crashed around me in just a few seconds.  So my whole life had been a lie and I was never wanted.  My dad continued, "oh, another thing.  Your mom is here, with me.  We lost everything we had and divorced.  She couldn't afford a place of her own, so she moved here and started staying in the basement.  We really had planned on moving away and you would never have had to find out about this."  Again, I was stunned.  I ran in the house and down the stairs to give my so called mom what for and there she was, asleep, well, she is just going to have to wake up and feel the wrath.

She got up and gave me a hug.  It didn't even feel right anymore and I felt so betrayed.

I let her have it and told her I knew the truth.

I told her I was glad that they would not be my babies grandparents because they mean people.  She stopped and ask, "you have a little one and your pregnant again?"  Let me feel your tummy.

I told her she had no rights to these babies and to leave me alone.

She begged me for another chance.  I told her, nope, wasn't happening.  Suddenly, I felt a pain in my stomach and something was not right.

My mom or whoever this person was, just stood there.  I really needed Dylan and knew I had to make it home.

When I pulled up, Dylan knew something was wrong.  He said, "Baby, you look upset.  What happened?"

I told him, "it is over with my parents, actually, they are not my parents.  Everything was a lie."  I proceeded to tell him the whole story and he looked so upset and angry.  I also told him I didn't feel good and wanted to lie down.  He told me everything was going to be alright and he was there for me forever and always.

I knew all I needed was some rest and to put this behind me and concentrate on my family, my real family.

I layed down on the couch and could tell that Dylan was watching me, he was so concerned.

So now the real question.  Who is my real mom?  Where is she? Why did she give me up?  I knew this wasn't over and I had to find out what the truth really was.......

Chapter 20

I guess I must have slept a couple of hours on the couch and wondered why Dylan had not woke me up.  I stretched and suprisingly, I felt better.

I hadn't used my new podcast since Dylan gave it to me and decided to relax and read up on cooking for a bit.  This was a truly amazing little thing and I loved it.  I even ordered some children's books from it.

I thought I heard Dylan upstairs and went up to take a peek.  There was my wonderful husband finishing up teaching Harley how to walk and then started reading a book to her.  I felt truly blessed watching the two most important people in my life bonding and sharing those precious moments together.

It was finally time for bed and Dylan tucked Harley away snug and safe.  I was relaxing in the bedroom and Dylan joined me.  We just chatted for a while and he told me he would always be there for our children.  When the time was right, he told me, he would be behind me 100% on trying to find my mom, but please don't go to far without him.  I put my investigation on hold for now, besides, we still had a trip to France to look forward to soon, I hope.

The next morning, I got the newspaper and while Dylan ate breakfast I read something interesting.  "Frank Tinsdale and Monica Tinsdale wed.  The couple decided to move out of town, for there was nothing for them here."  Imagine that, they were not even married.  Well, honestly, I am glad they are gone.

We set out to do our chores in caring for the horses.  I brushed one, while Dylan cleaned hooves, what a life, a good one at that.

I heard our little one wake up and went to get her.  She was always such a happy little girl, no matter what time of day it was.

I took Harley outside, so we could keep an eye on her.  I had bought a blocks table, so she would stay in one place.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Fiona going toward Harley.  I was a little nervous, seeing how, they had never really been close to a baby before.  I had no need to worry, they were adorable together and Fiona just wanted to sniff this little person.

I called Honey over for a catch up visit.  She was elder now, but still worked in the music industry.  Her outfit is really out there for an older person, but I don't think any body pays her no mind.  She is my dearest and oldest friend.  She was excited to hear about my pregancy and told me when we were ready to go on our trip, she would be glad to watch them.  I filled her in on what happened with the Tinsdale's and she agreed it was for the best that they left town.  When I told her about finding my real mom, she did say to check out an orphanage that was Sunset Valley, where I was from.  I was to ask for a Mr. Payne.  He had helped alot of people young and old to find their true selves.  I was excited at maybe having some sort of a lead, but I wasn't going to get my hopes up.  Honey and I chatted some more, she felt the baby kick and hugged me and said she had to get to work.

The rest of the evening, we just spent finishing up our chores and spending quality time with our little one.

Just one big happy family or so it seemed....

Chapter 21 - "Busy Day"

I finished up TV and felt achy all over.  I just couldn't seem to shake it.  I felt so much heavier than the last pregnancy.  Oh well, I ate more this time too.

My back is killing me.  I hope I can get some sleep tonight.

I did manage to sleep through the night, but when I got up, it hit me.  I was in labor and no time for the hospital.  Dylan was freaking out and I told him he should feel  it on this end.

Meet Haley and Heather, twin girls.  I thought Dylan was going to faint.

They were the cutest little bundles, except for Harley, of course.  Now it was also Harley's birthday, so we got the twins settled and took Harley downstairs for her birthday.

One, two, three, blow....

I do believe she has my eyes.  She is precious and her new clothes fit just right.

I know one thing, there is going to be lots of hugs and kisses in this family.  These girls are always going to know that we will be here for them, no matter what.....
