Chapter 12 - "New Beginnings"

I paced the floor almost all day and then I saw him.

I was filled with dread, but I just wanted it over.  I knew this was not going to be easy, but it had to be done.

Hi daddy, how have you been.

"I am not here for idel chit chat.  You are coming home with me young lady."

Daddy, I am going to make this as simple as possible.  No, I am not leaving with you now or ever.  This is my home and I have friends and, and a boyfriend, whether you like it or not.

"Listen, wait, Tricia.  You have to come back with me.  Your mom will be very upset if your not with me."

No, you would be upset if I don't go back, so you can string me around like you do your other puppets at the cooperation.  No, daddy.  I don't want to discuss this any further.

"You won't get one red cent from me young lady if you stay here."

I don't want your money. I am rich enough without money or things.  Now, go away.

About that time, I heard noises in the back yard.  That could only mean one thing, Fiona had given birth.  We all headed outside and there he was, a gorgeous little foal.  He was so cute.

He looked just like his momma.  Right away, Dylan got a bottle and started feeding her to let Fiona rest for a bit.

I was so amazed how small the foal was.  I am not sure if it is a boy or girl, but I chose the name Dragon.  My dad had come out with us and I really didn't want him here anymore.  I guess Dylan read my mind and went to talk to him, this can't be good.

Dylan told him it was best for him to leave.  Well, daddy had to get the last word in, "you don't know who your messing with.  Tricia is poor now, because of this choice and I blame you.  You had your chance and your blowing it."  Dylan told him, "no, you had your chance and we are not poor.  We have everything we need and then some, which you will never understand."

Now, go away and don't come back.

I had to clear my head.  My dad was gone and this had to be the hardest thing I had ever done.  Dylan found me and wrapped his arms around me and told me everything was going to be fine and then it happened, he kissed me and I felt like I had wings.  I knew then that I love him with all of my heart.

I really couldn't think of anything to say, I was actually speechless for a change, except.........

Dylan, you can get rid of that single bed now..........

                                                       To Be Conitinued...........

Chapter 13

Dylan and I settled into a routine.  Often he would read the paper and I would be surfing the web.

There were times we wouldn't have to say anything, but our love was growing each and everyday.  Dylan was always doing something, whether it was handy jobs around the house or tending to the horses.  Dragon was such a wonderful little foal and Fiona was a really good mom.  They slept together every night.

One evening, Dylan said he needed to run to the store for a few things for dinner and if I wanted to join him.  I said I would wait for him to return.

He hadn't been gone very long and he called and told me to put on my red dress and meet him at the pier.  I wonder why, we haven't been there since the very beginning.

I figured I would play along and got changed and went to meet him.

He took my hands and said, "Tricia, I love you with all of my heart and I have been dreaming of this day since I was 12.  You make my life complete and when we are together, we are as one."

"Tricia Tinsdale, will you honor me and become Mrs. Dylan Michaels, forever and always."

Yes, Yes, a thousands times yes!!!!

"Tricia Tinsdale, would you marry me right here and right now, in the place where I first saw you as a beautiful and mature woman?"
Yes again my dear.

We are now Mr. and Mrs. Dylan Michaels.  I could not be happier.  Dylan has been so patient with me.  He knows I have never been with anyone and I couldn't ask for a more loving man.  My heart is full and my life complete.  We rushed home and Dylan swept me up in his arms and carried me over the threshold and into the bedroom.  I think I am speechless again.

We have been in heaven for several months now and I keep having to pinch myself to make sure I am not dreaming.  We both took up racing again, but Fiona is getting up in age and I am ready to retire her.  Dragon will take her place when he is ready.  He is still so little, but it will be soon that he will age to an adult.

Everything is perfect, except one morning, I didn't feel well and it had Dylan worried sick.  He held my hair when I headed to the bathroom.  Since I hadn't been sick in my life, I guess I just ate some bad sushi........

Chapter 14 - "Changes"

I had never been sick a day in my life, so I wasn't sure why I was getting so sick all of the time.  I mean, every two hours I was running to the bathroom.  I called Honey and told her how sick I was.  I heard her snickering on the other end of the phone, which I thought was strange.  She said, "sweetie, your pregnant."  I dropped the phone and just stood there staring into space.  I wasn't ready for this yet, I was just getting use to being married.  I finally came back to earth and picked up the phone and told Honey I would talk to her later.  I ran to the bathroom again and then I looked down and saw a little bump in my tummy and knew what Honey had said was true.  Was I ready for this yet?  Was I ready to be a mother?  I went out back to where Dylan was to tell him the news.  We hadn't even talked about kids.  What would he say?

He was ecstatic and he started talking to my tummy and feeling it already.  He was so cute.

I did, however have some concerns.  I hadn't been able to race for a while and Dylan had stayed home to take care of the horses, so we were running low on funds.  We only had one bedroom, but plenty of space to expand.  Dylan didn't seem to worried about it, but now some of the old feeling were starting to resurface concerning money.  I was not and will never ask my parents for a dime.

I discussed my concerns with Dylan.  He said not worry and we left it at that.  I felt better and wasn't so sick anymore, thank heavens.  I wanted to spend some time with little Dragon and he was more than willing for me to give him a good brushing.  I walked back into the house in time to see Dylan's face as he was on the computer.

He said, "honey, I need to tell you something."

Chapter 15 - Riches Again

From the look on Dylan's face, it looked like good news, or I was hoping it was.  Everything was too good right now for bad news.

Dylan asked me, "remember a while back, before your dad visited, I mentioned some dabbling I had done in real estate and certain investments?"  I didn't remember exactly, but I just wanted to hear the point.  "Well, I just looked at my portfolio and everything I have invested in sky rocketed.  I made  a million dollars!  Isn't that great.  Tricia, Tricia, sweetie, did you hear what I just said?"  I didn't know what to think.  I just stood there staring at him, like he had ten heads.  "Tricia, this means we can add on to our house and save the money for our kids college years and be comfortable enough not to work.  We can breed horses like we wanted and be able to take care of them properly."  I finally snapped out of it and leaped into my husbands arms.  I loved him more now than ever and was grateful that he wanted to take care of our little family.  He said, "ok, we have been shut in this house too long, lets get out of here."  So off we went to the local hangout.  Nothing fancy, but we were together, that is what mattered.  We sang kareoke and had a blast.

Dylan grabbed my hand and pulled me upstairs....

I was so embarrassed, I hope no one came by.  Dylan was laughing so hard, I thought he was going to faint.  He said, "Lets do it again."  I don't think so.  I can't remember when I had such a wonderful time, especially with the man I loved.

Chapter 14

Dylan

I loved Tricia more than I ever thought possible.  She has turned from a spoiled brat to an independent woman that proved she didn't need anyone to take care of her.  That has changed, I will always be around for her and our little ones, she doesn't know it yet, but I want a few little ones.  I had gone to get some supplies for the horses, when I spotted someone that I thought looked familiar going into this house, just across from where I use to live.  No, it couldn't be, it was Mr. Tinsdale, Tricia's dad.  What in the world was he doing here, not exactly his cup of tea.  I walked straight up to the door and some woman that had a strange mark on her neck, answered the door  and then stepped aside.  Yep, I was right, it was him and I was not happy.  When I askedd him, what the heck he was doing here, he said his wife had kicked him out and that he wanted to, at least stay close to his daughter.  He felt he had already lost that too.  He looked so forlorn.

Then he kind of turned on me and accused me of betraying him.  That didn't set right with me and I let him have it.  It got pretty ugly and before I left, I told him to leave us alone.  That Tricia and I were doing fine and we didn't need him.  I almost told him about the baby, but that should be Tricia's decision.

I left, but something just wasn't right.  There had to be another reason that he was here.  I will have to see if I can discreetly talk to Tricia and see if maybe she had talked to her mom or maybe see if she would call her, but I had to be very careful, she was smart enough to see right through me and besides, it was getting real close to baby time and I didn't want to rock the boat, so to speak.  Time will tell, I am sure we will find out soon enough.

Chapter 15

Oh my, I am getting so big, I can't see my feet.  I will be so glad when this little one is born.

Dylan said I looked more beautiful than ever, but maybe he was just making me feel better.  I was doing some yard work and I felt really funny.  The pain was really bad.  All I could do was stand there and hold my stomach.

Everytime I would try to scream, another pain would hit.  I finally made it in the house and Dylan must have heard me yelling and he came a running.   All he could see, was that I was standing there looking cross eyed and screaming.  What a sight I must have been.

And then it happened, our little girl was born...

Meet Harley Tinsdale, our little girl from heaven.

All I could do was hold her and I couldn't have been happier than I am at this moment.
