Nice! I've not seen that past cloth before. From wich era did it came from?
You've mentioned that there are four outfits for each gender. 'Look for only one of them for male from the future' you've said. Than you've typed 'Females find two in each ear.' Does that mean that females have also 2 future clothes?

I guess seeing that "two in each ear" got me laughing so hard, just a mental image and Leto, I am not laughing at you, I guess it just struck a funny nerve.  You have come such a long way and made such efforts on the posts on your writing and it seems we have all learned something in some form or another, now back to topic.

The outfit in the guide, I have not gotten yet, when the sims come out, they still are in regular clothes, even though arrows were shooting out the door when they got back.  I still can't wait to get the outfits from past and future.  Practice makes perfect.

Whahaha, I was laughing to when I saw it! :P It really was an accident. I've not typed it incorrect on purpose. But secretly I hope you moderators will leave it as it is now. :P

Well, practice? I don't know. Unless you mean with practice that you need to travel through time every 4 hours, then yes. The more you travel, the higher the change of coming back in a carnaval outfit. The change is still slightly little to come back with those clothes.
Although, that only counts for grown up sims. Once I've got a sim kid from the future after my two gay sims where woohooing in another era (umph, almost typed that word wrong again :|) and it turns out that even then you can have a child from it. Maybe it is just a sort of cloning them. How can I know, living in the 21th century?
Anyway, that kid didn't wear any space science fiction looking clothes. Just normal ones.
Another time my sim came back from the future, while laser beams where shooting at him. Never upset Darth Vader...

I couldn't bring myself to correct it when I saw it. lol

I go to the past or future whenever I can, nothing.  The little guys are going to pass away before I get any new outfits and there is that one that does not look that good on an elder.  Oh well, has been fun anyway.

Uhm... maybe it works for young adult or adult sims? I have no idea about elders.

Here is an outfit I haven't noticed a screenshot of (though I might just need to lurk moar):

There are several different color variations for each outfit.  Here are some of the variations I've come across:

And these, I have no idea where these came from.  I never made them, they just appeared on the list.  A couple of them look like they could have come from the past--unless someone knows where these come from, I can only guess I got them from the hundreds of romps in the time machine...

Oh wow Tiax, those are beautiful! I assume they are indeed from the past. Because I know more about the past than the future, so I assume that is correct. :P
Are the other, more recent looking ones not per accident just make overs? Otherwise they do most likely come from the 20th century. 80th's, 90th's. I don't know.

This is great for story telling, al those new clothes. I hope that adding a ghost (when you meet one during the ghost hunter career) will unlock the specific outfit they wear, too.

@Tiax

Those last three outfits are just from the regular Sims 3 database of clothes.  They aren't anything special, really.

What are everyone's thoughts on location of drilling with the miner? Is there any point to moving around drilling locations, or is it just as random by drilling and filling in around a sim's own house? Are there hotspots (motherlodes, as it were, heh)?

I did some drilling at the park and got a few nice gems.  I also drilled next to one of the stores or the library (I don't remember) and I uncovered a cave with lobster people.

I have found quite a few in just in their yard too.  I did go to graveyard, but didn't find anything, which reminds me, guess I had better go fill in those holes so no one falls in them.  Hmmm, graveyard, holes.  Maybe won't fill them in, lol.

I love that medieval outfit! But that one below the caveman looks a little dark.
Can sims really fall into the holes?
Do you actually see the lobster people, or do you just get a message saying you found them?
Has anyone made any tunnels to use as shortcuts to get around town?

Just the message.
Can sims really fall into the holes?
You can investigate them if that's what you mean.
Has anyone made any tunnels to use as shortcuts to get around town?
I've made a link temporarily to see if it works. :)

I did once. But traveling through the tunnel takes one extra step in the maximum of 8 commands, so I don't use it that often. It's the same as with the teleportation platform. Those would have become more practical if sims would use them as the shortest way to get from point A to B automatically.

Regarding the inventing guide on the site... there it says this about the simbot: "It takes 1 palladium, 1 life fruit, 1 heart cut pink diamond and 100 scrap"

That is correct but I could swear that I needed 10 life fruits (at least for the opportunity chain you need to do, didn't really fancy making more than one of those).

I also think it's 10 life fruit, not 1. That's what the Prima guide says, and that's also what I think it took in my game. Maybe someone else can also confirm this.

Yes, it's 10 life fruit.  I've only made one SimBot so far, but it took 10.  Unless you're already growing them for ambrosia, getting enough life fruit might take more time than getting the heart-cut pink diamond!
