Can Sims Marry/Have Relationships with people in WA Lands?

Hello everyone,

I am sure this question has been answered somewhere, but I sure can't seem to find it anywhere.

I was just wondering if you can marry/have relationships with sims from the foreign lands of WA.

If we can, when they get added your active household do they still "live in China" for example or do they come back to home when you leave the land? Or if you can marry a sim , do you have the option to live in China?

Sorry if I sound confusing, just trying to figure WA out

Yes, you can have relationships and marriage with Sims in foreign countries.  If you marry one, he/she will join your household and go home with your Sim.  You won't be able to live in the foreign country.

Also I have read that there are some issues with becoming girl/boyfriend, marrying, etc in WA. Are those still around?

Hmm I have no clue..Some of the Egyptian Men look nice but I haven't really been paying much attention! I am too busy trying to do adventures to really have conversations with the locals lol. I did however try to test this before Pam helped me out and a guy from China I got to romantic interest with but then I couldn't do anything...So then I tried using the cheats enabled to just add him into my active household just to see what happens...and he was like a regular guy and was added to my house..no glitch.. I am wondering though if I can get past romantic interest normally instead of cheating for it... Oh well ...

What I did was essentially make a back up copy of my current favorite game before testing... With Yves Bernard from Champs Les Sims [I would copy game files before travelling as there are a few bugs].

So far, so good. He married/moved in with her and when the vacation ended, they went back to their home in SV. I'll update if anything changes or weird stuff happens.

Sims Wiki has a list of townies from the Destinations - some of them have pictures on their pages. That may be of use to you. Here is Champ Les Sims, Shang Simla and Al Simhara. Scroll down to families and then click on whoever sounds interesting. All of the ones I clicked on had pictures.

I think the Sims designated for the Marketplace are the only ones exempt from marriage. I'm doing the 100 Nooboo challenge right now and I'll find out after the current husband dies from old age.

Yes :  By EA Standard, the child would be immediately born and aged up to child during the "Return Home" process.

You would be able to see the sim in your family tree, and can invite them over if you know them.

My female sim had a child without even knowing. Looking in the family tree I found she had a child who was a teen in Egypt.

The house goes once your foreign spouse joins your household. However, if you have level 3 visa, you can go to edit town and set that house as ownable, then buy it as a vacation home.

Only if you don't mind Mods. Twallan's Traveler Mod allows this functionality - you can live in another country.
