My sims cannot go to China. The bar loads about a third of the way and then stops - not a freeze, the music is still on and the waiting cursor is spinning, but even after an hour it doesn't progress. I've tried restarting the computer and leaving on a different day at a different time.
It is a dynasty game so I would like to avoid moving the household, etc. etc.
Maybe relevant: Went to France, Egypt, and France again with a couple freezes and WA ever-present lag but nothing major. The game was corrupted shortly after their return from the Egypt trip but I restored it with the .backup file. I am many weeks in (two immortals and the fourth is a toddler) and have a full household (but only two adults were travelling). The travelers both have the prepared traveler award (so the trip is for 9 days) and are carrying a motive mobile and collection helper.
