Pictures sims have painted

Thanks guys for all the pics of the paintings. My sim has painted several of these but there are few that she hasn't. I did notice that my sim has the lucky trait and almost always when she's feeling lucky she paints a masterpiece. So maybe there's something with that.

These are some very great pictures! I'm glad the Sims franchise has added a lot more variety in these paintings when compared to the previous games.

I have a theory that relationship effects the quality of portraits. The previous portraits of Dina were done when she and Nina were enemies. I think Nina with the childish trait painted an ugly pic because she was mad at her sister.

Currently, Nina's relationship with her sister is sort of neutral and I think the portrait reflects that. Obviously, she has a better relationship with her husband and his portrait is fairly clear. To test the theory, I had her paint portraits of the twins. As you can see, Mia who has best friend status has a much nicer pic than Ava who is only a acquaintance.

I'm not saying that's not possible, but I've had painters be best friends with the other person and still paint a fuzzy pic. I wish I knew why, it would stop happening if I knew the reason lol.

Even at level 10, there will be varying differences in visual quality.  I've even had painters with max relationships paint portraits like the ones on the left.  This is just something that randomly happens.

Your right Hosfac.  I have had so many painters, to many to mention and no matter what level of relationship they are in, they paint those fuzzy paintings.  Then again, the next one will be chrystal clear.  I have given up on what triggers what when they paint.  Traits still play an important role in how a sim paints, to some degree anyway.

Agnes Crumplebottom is a really skilled painter too.



I think it runs in the family though, because her nephew, Mortimer actually painted Georges Seurat inspired paintings, on several occasions.

Mortimer and Agnes both have the Grumpy trait which influences the blueish tint to their paintings.
