@Leto Ausette is correct-I just checked in game and they are sketches--explains why you haven't seen your Sim paint these, my mistake!

Ah, nice to know! My architectual sim only makes basics sketches which let me choose to stick with paintings. Nice to know there is more potential at a higher level. That's said... at a higher level in the architectural job I asume. Because my overskilled painter didn't stetch those nice looking results as Ausette did.

Try, try, and try again. That's the mechanism of drawing sketches. It's random what you'll get, just like with sculptures. Though, I like checking the Consignment store regularly for some free sketches. Townies like drawing some on the table there.

Just to mention @Leto - My Sim that sketched those is not an architect, she's a director. Her sketches do come out very nice.  She does have the artistic trait though.

I have used that desk many times without my sim being in the fashion profession.  I almost like it better than the easel.

I finally had a sim paint a picture that I don't remember seeing.  It is the cutest thing and I will use it in the kids room.  She was only a level 5 and it is not worth but 98, but it is so clear and crisp.  Maybe I need to have her paint more.  I know there is no way I have seen them all.  It is about time a sim paints something a little different.

Jessica Redhouse painted that kitty pic and her traits are, brave, star quality, athletic, heavy sleeper and angler.  They are kind of random traits and the only one that comes close to having anything to do with that pic, is angler, because of the little fish.  Probably just a random painting.  She was only level 5 when she painted it, I think I repeated that earlier.
