In order for them to not revamp old expansions they would have to include all the old features in the base game though! So I think it is kinda a given that they are going to be revamping a lot of the old expansions but each time they do they make it better than it was before and different in it's own way so really it's not the same in my opinion!

I certainly agree that revamps aren't identical and do provide new content, World Adventures is one of my favorites and is nothing like TS2 vacation EP. And like MomOfMany said, it's definitely not realistic to never revamp as the base game would be enormous. I'm just thinking there are so many other possibilities to explore within the world of the Sims that haven't been done yet and I would love to see where else EA can take us. The good news is the Sims only gets more popular, so I'm sure there is plenty of life left in the franchise to explore more options.

But for Supernatural I am interested to see what these new vampires will be like, and how they will be different. I'm hoping for a turning into a bat ability...probably not going to happen but I can dream!

I actually figure that the vamps aren't new at all.  I'm betting they're the same vamps from Late Night but they've been revamped (harharhar ;D) to make them CAS-able like the other supernaturals.

That's what I was thinking as well, as well as being able to control the population, of course.

I'm not really sure what they are going to the vamps.

        From the news release.....

                    "newer, more intriguing vampires".

I might have to watch the live chat on Tuesday.

I think this expansion is a link between Sims Medieval and Sims 3.

Since in Sims Medieval, you can play as wizards and witches, create supernatural spells and eerie potions...

I personally am looking forward to this, though it's not set in stone whether I'll buy it or not. There's a live video tomorrow that I'm going to watch. I look forward to seeing some more details about this EP.

I'm glad that EA seems to be listening to what the players want (besides seasons  ::) ). I know I've wanted to be able to make vampires in CAS since I got LN and ear sliders have been on my list of must haves for a while now. I'm really excited for the witches because I love magic in general. I also wonder about the fairies. Correct me if I'm wrong, but those are completely new to the sims franchise, yes?

Fairies are new to the Sims franchise, as far as I know.

I want to see vampires act like vampires. I am hoping, from the trailer, that there is more autonomy in how these creatures act. You would need to increase your active sim's atheletics to fight them and the zombies off. I want it to be more challenging. When the supernatural try to turn your sim and they can challenge them. Presently, you just make firends with them and that's it. Unless you use mods, the vampires act like regular humans.
So, will it be the same for the zombies and werewolves?

It would be more of a challenge if your sim could be attacked. I never played with vampires, because they would just make weird hissing noises and had to stay out of the sun, that was it... I do hope that you are right about this point. More animal instincts for the supernatural would be cool. A "need blood" or blood crazed moodlet or something like that. It would be cool if werewolves got a howl need and fairy's a prank need or something. What would give that to zombies?

I'm quite looking forward to creating occults. It wouldn't be the first time in the Sims Series, you could do that on the TS2 Console version, with Aliens. ;D I think I'm most excited about the Fairy Wings and Elf Ear Sliders, because I have a lot of fun with Sims that look different! I might even stick my normal Sim in Riverview, and have him fall in love with Laurel Grisby, to keep the elfish look alive! I might even send her parents to the hospital for Plastic Surgery, so they can get Elf Ears too!

This is exactly why I never bothered to rely on CC and Mods for this sort of thing!  ;)

You're killing me Ricalynn! LOL, I have a soft spot for puns. I like the idea of being able to play another life state directly from CAS, that will expand your options right from the get go. But I do also hope the Vampires have more to distinguish themselves as Vampires than the current ones do. I'm actually not a fan of the Super Speed, I think it would be neat if they were crouched over and slunk around....and randomly shout out "Bleah!".
