The Sims 3: Supernatural - Officially Announced!

If you have LN and supernatural, you won't get two kinds of vampires. It only gives vampires to people without LN, it apply's to all,  because if you have LN and supernatural you get the improvements, not two different kinds.

So which vamps do you get?  LN or SN?  If LN, can they be turned off like other supernaturals can?  I really dislike the LN vamps, (or any vamps to be honest).

The SN vamps will override the LN vamps. They can be turned off, too.

I'am excited about witches and fairies as I can finally have a Charmed Legacy now.

I'm not very excited about this expansion, to be honest.  It's just not my cup of tea.  But I have to say, I will probably get it just for the ability to control the size of the supernatural populations.  I like to play multi-generational games, and all of my towns seem to get overrun by vampires after the first couple of generations.  It will be great to have some control over that.  And the fairies do sound pretty neat :-).

That feature will be included with a patch. Buying the EP isn't required.

I was wondering if anyone knows if there's going to be new harvestable plants and trees in Supernatural? If so, can you tell me what plants and trees will be in this expansion?

That gets me wondering, I wonder if there will be a new music.  That would be really interesting.  It would also be cool if they brought back slow dancing... well it seems like since you can now rock a baby to sleep that you should be able to slow dance too.  I also wonder if there will be new favourite colors, like rainbow!   Or maybe silver, or nyan.  Oh, and does anyone know if there is going to be certain traits that are available only to certain supernaturals?  Like trickster for fairy, well, ok, I suppose that people wouldn't like the expansion as much if there were restrictions on the traits, but it would be cool if there were more traits added than supernatural fan or supernatural skeptic.

I was thisclose to pre-ordering Supernatural along with getting Pets and Showtime - the only thing that stopped me was the fact that I'll be getting a $50 gift card soon from Amazon, so I may as well save it for this. Besides, I won't be installing Pets and Showtime until I finish (or get close to finishing) my dynasty.

This will likely be the one and only expansion pack that I pre-order as I already have the perfect family for it, even if they were generated before the announcement - they were meant to play with photography and inventing, but mom would make the perfect fairy and the inventor dad could very easily dabble in witchcraft...I think their daughter will remain a norm for now though, and perhaps they'll get a werewolf for a roommate (and/or a future spouse, hehe). All three of them will definitely be leaving Twinbrook for Moonlight Falls, that's for sure.

I have been reading this thread for a while getting so pumped up about Supernatural so I don't know why I didn't post on this thread earlier. I am really happy about the werewolfs because in The Sims 2 I tried to make a werewolf so many times but it was so difficult! This is the first time that am getting a limited edition because my dad got an email from amazon saying that he could pre-order Supernatural so we pre-ordered it today! Also, I have been wondering if we can control the lunar cycle? Sory if this has been ansered already but I don't know if it has.

There is going to be another live chat about Supernatural on August 3rd.  At this moment I haven't seen anything regarding the lunar cycle, but they may be waiting to do a reveal at this chat.  I can't wait to see this one.  Maybe they will go into more depth about the witches and/or the town.  That would be nice.

As far as I know, this thread is probably one of the most up to date on Supernatural truths.  It's the third thread of it's kind as the other two have been/should have been locked by now.
