Ooh, Sunset Valley is about to become a metropolis...I guess my only question then is since you can add new lots within edit town, can you also remove lots?  I'd like to place my fire station in a centralized place (yeah, I played Sim City too), but there isn't a lot of room.

I even recommend placing more than one, especially when you play with a huge town, or even city. In the beginning the fireman cars are driving very slowly until you give them some upgrade or something. Placing one in the middle and one in each corner of your city (like when you have a squire layout) will solve a lot of trouble.
Now a good infrastructure layout is very important.

I would place the Fire Station next to the Police Station, I don't know why I just would!  :D

But if you have multiple firestations, how will your sim know which one to go to for work?

Before Ambitions, you could not place down any new empty lots.  Ambitions added the World Editor tool, which enabled you to add new vacant lots.  I haven't added any new lots to my town yet, but there are many different sized lots you can place and you do not have to put them down connecting to a road (like in TS2).  The new lot sizes you can place are 10x10, 15x10, 20x20, 25x20, 25x25, 30x20, 30x30, 35x25, 40x20, 40x40, 50x25, 50x50, 64x64.  You can also place or change decorations to your town, didn't write down what the other tabs were, but from what I remember you can add trees, rocks and misc.  You cannot add roads with the WE (World Editor). ;)

For inquiring minds here is the location of the firstation! Hope that helps some!

This is the first screenshot from the ones I posted earlier in this thread if that helps to give a better idea of location!

Like in Create A World, but without Create a World. I think that's what was meant? Like in Sims 2?

Ah! You mean placing empty lots? Well, that will be something! :D Beautiful for when you finish a town, start playing it and then decide that another empty lot needs to be added. If you than can do that, without the use of starting up CAW, than that will save you a lot of time.
I hope you can upload that world as well, for example to thesims3.com.

Sure you can see inside.
This is the main floor

This is the basement

This is up one floor

This is up two floors

This is the roof

And this is the trampoline outside

Sorry so many pics. Just wanted to make sure you got to see all of it.

Nonsense, Mo. Thank you for sharing the firestation pictures.

Can anyone say which buildings remain rabbit holes and which the inside can be seen?

I haven't tested every building, but so far it seems that all of the WA and earlier rabbitholes have remained the same, and out of the new buildings I can confirm that the firestation, salon, and consignment building are abled to be entered and viewed on the inside.

They are missing 30x40 I noticed.  I was messing around in SV, and there really aren't that many places you can put new lots.  I was trying to find a place for the Junkyard rather than where I usually put the Pinochle Point Park.

Where does everyone think Twinbrook is?  Sunset Valley was on the ocean, Riverview was on the river.  But where is Twinbrook?  My husband thinks it's on a lake.  I think it's on a river delta where the river meets ths ocean.

If you look at momofmanys photo showing where the station is, to the right of that looks like a river joining onto a bigger water area, maybe it is at the Mouth of the Riverview River and up the coast from Sunset Valley?
