As odd looking as the majority of Sims in Twinbrook are, EA had to put a lot of effort into them. I mean, those noses and ears don't come out by themselves in CAS. My Sim married one of the best looking Sims in town (Goodwin Good) and he's really not terribly handsome. At least his features are proportionate!

I was thinking about creating a family and moving them into Twinbrook, letting them have kids and their kids have kids. I was thinking that once the townies die off, better looking sims might move in. I had this happen with my legacy family in Sunset Valley. After 3 generations I had a whole new town with much more interesting sims. May be the same would be true of Twinbrook?

I had Mortimer Goth last Three Generations, I just re-installed my game, due to CC which still is on there! I think it may cling on through Saved Games but I don't know? Anyway I don't have enought Custom made sims to repopulate the town with!  :(

Before Ambitions, you could not place down any new empty lots.  Ambitions added the World Editor tool, which enabled you to add new vacant lots.  I haven't added any new lots to my town yet, but there are many different sized lots you can place and you do not have to put them down connecting to a road (like in TS2).  The new lot sizes you can place are 10x10, 15x10, 20x20, 25x20, 25x25, 30x20, 30x30, 35x25, 40x20, 40x40, 50x25, 50x50, 64x64.  You can also place or change decorations to your town, didn't write down what the other tabs were, but from what I remember you can add trees, rocks and misc.  You cannot add roads with the WE (World Editor). ;)

This is exciting, to me anyway!  I like to put large community buildings on large lots, and there just aren't any in Ambitions.  If I put a lot, or lots, in the middle of nowhere, will I be able to get to it with a car (or whatever) even if there is no road to it?  Not being able to put roads seems like a missing piece, to me.

Your sim will simply step out of the car, and walk or run to his destination. If you want to add roads to a town, you simply have to wait until EA fixes the compatibility issues between Create a World and Ambitions. Then you can do that there.

They are NPC's and should randomly pop up.  Try hanging out at central park and see if they show up.

I found the Curious family. Huh. They are nothing like what I expected. If you played the Sims 2, you are in for a surprise.

If you didn't play TS2, the Curious family was a great favorite of mine and many other people. There were three brothers...Lazlo, Pascal and Vidcund. They were nerdy, had the worst run of luck you can imagine, lived in an ugly house and were flat out adorable. I played them for hours.

So you can imagine how happy I was to find they would be in Ambitions. Well, the "new" Curious family is a married couple with a toddler.  >:(

I am pretty sure that Notzo Curious is the father or grandfather of Lazlo, Pascal and Vidcund.  I kind of remember that name from their family tree, although I could be mistaken.  I too LOVED the Curious family and they were pretty much the only family I would play in Sims 2.  I remember naming their daughters Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria. lol

Sorry for the double post. New day, new topic:

What's the deal with the Rackett family? My sim lives across the street from them and not only do they appear to be crooks (burgler costumes, big limo), but everyone in town seems to do business there. Not just evil types, but regular townies visit day and night. Does anyone have an idea of what's going on?

I assume with business you mean that families own properties on other lots? I mean community lots.
Maybe in that case it's just a little hint to you, as the player. Like: 'Look what is possible now, you can do business in Ambitions.'
I personally don't play in Twinbrook much (although I have a few families living there) but it could be a hint indeed.
