I have a problem with opening a huge map on CAW

My problem is this:

Whenever I try to open a default huge map in CAW, it comes up with an error message that says the image is not PNG and won't open. When I look into the file I'm trying to open, it IS a PNG file.

I don't understand. I never used to have this problem. This is the DEFAULT maps I'm trying to open.

I've tried reinstalling CAW several times. But the problem persists. I've posted in the official Sims 3 forums, and on facebook, and I've contacted EA and even googled the problem, and whilst I can see that others have the same problem, no one seems to know how to fix it.

I'm hoping someone here might be able to help. I'm running out of ideas.
